| Mathematical symbol language plays an important role in mathematical language. It is a simplified form of quantitative relations and mathematical concepts, which is composed of some letters, symbols and marks. It represents a specific mathematical meaning, for example, may represent formulas, explain relationships and(or)laws. As is known to all,the thinking progress of calculation and derivation can be expressed clearly by using mathematical symbols and mathematical symbol language learned in primary schools is the basis of middle school mathematical. Thus,it is very important to study some related content on teaching strategies of mathematical symbol language in primary schools. In this study, the concept of mathematical sign language is defined by referring to a large number of literatures, and three characteristics of mathematical sign language, namely abstractness, simplicity and accuracy, are summarized;Secondly, the development stages of mathematical notation language in primary schools are divided.Specifically, the definition of mathematical sign language is introduced in the first part of the study, which is divided into six types;some main characteristics are also summarized in this part;the second part analyzes the learning situation of mathematical sign language in primary schools, and analyzes the corresponding causes. This part is the foundation for the following research. Finally, this study also proposes teaching strategies in classroom teaching to address these issues. This paper uses literature method, questionnaire survey method, interview method and observation method to analyze and research the learning situation and teaching of mathematical sign language, and finds that there are the following problems in the learning of mathematical sign language: understanding problem, expression problem, writing problem, etc. For the understanding of mathematical symbol language, according to the development of students’ thinking and cognition, the mathematical symbol language is divided into three stages. In the stage of intuitive perception, students’ understanding is supported by objects. The teaching strategies are as follows: through specific situations and operational practices, students can feel symbolization; In the concrete operation stage, students’ thinking can carry out simple logical reasoning on the basis of concrete objects. The teaching strategy is to combine old and new knowledge and emphasize the process of symbol understanding. In the stage of formal operation, students’ abstract thinking tends to be mature, and the teaching strategy is to focus on explaining mathematical symbols. For writing mathematical symbol language, teachers should:(1)pay attention to the standardization of mathematical notation when writing on the blackboard,so as to set a good example for students;(2)be strict with students and help them develop good writing habits of mathematical notation. As for the symbolic language of representational mathematics, the teaching strategies are as follows:(1)Focus on the cultivation of the conversion ability of the three languages of mathematics;(2)Cause analysis and focus on the key.The symbolic language of primary school mathematics has important research significance. |
