The Influence Of Postmodernism On The Values Of Contemporary College Students And The Countermeasures

The ideological work is an extremely important work of the CPC,which is the work of setting the heart for the country and the soul for the nation.Youth bear the historical and epochal responsibility of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation,and their ideology is related to direction,path,and national political security.In the context of peace and development as the theme of the times,economic globalization,world multipolarity,and global informatization,the integration of ideology and culture is increasing worldwide,and the competition in the field of ideology is becoming increasingly fierce.Therefore,it is crucial to do a good job in youth ideological work.In the new era,China has entered a new stage of comprehensively deepening reform.In closer exchanges with countries around the world,China has always adhered to absorbing excellent foreign cultures with an equal,open,and inclusive attitude for our own use.In this process,postmodernism and other controversial cultural thoughts were also introduced into China,which had an impact on the values of our people.Contemporary college students,mainly born in the 2000 s,have not yet fully matured their psychology and their values are still in the formation stage,making their values more susceptible to be influenced.Although the postmodernism trend of thought has provided college students with new thinking and new perspective in epistemology and methodology to a certain extent,there are some problems in college students’ values under its influence.To deal with these problems effectively,we need to fully understand the impact of the current postmodernism trend on college students’ values.This paper studies the influence of postmodernism on the values of contemporary college students in China by means of literature analysis and questionnaire survey.Through the analysis of the current situation of college students’ values affected by postmodernism,this paper summarizes the positive and negative influences of postmodernism on college students’ values,and puts forward strategies to deal with the impact of postmodernism on college students’ values.This paper first defines the relevant concepts of social trend of thought,postmodernism,values and so on,clarifies the main views and manifestations of postmodernism,and on this basis,explores its impact on the values of Chinese college students.According to literature analysis and questionnaire survey results,the positive and negative effects of postmodernism on college students’ values are summarized,I has attributed its positive impact to the diverse value pursuits of modern college students and the social and cultural environment of China that draws on the strengths of others,and attributed its negative influence to the confusion of postmodernism,the characteristics of college students,the order of mass media and the complex environment at home and abroad.Propose strategies to correct errors and respond correctly to these reasons:Improve the ability to discern ideological trends and strengthen the guiding power of truth;Understand students’ value needs and optimize methods for cultivating values;Improve the media regulatory mechanism and avoid the guidance of erroneous trends;Strengthen the guidance of ideological and political education,and enhance the risk prevention awareness of college students.
