The lowering of the threshold of Internet access has made online games a common presence in the lives of left-behind children.As one of the groups that society focuses on,the emotional needs of rural left-behind children are more vigorous due to the absence of parents in their growth process.The single social environment in rural areas makes their entertainment needs unsatisfied,and they expect to find solace through online games.The single environment and immaturity of physical and mental development make rural left-behind children lack resistance and discernment to new things,so they are easy to indulge in the phenomenon.At present,the research on online games for rural left-behind children mainly focuses on the influence research,and the research on behavioral motives also lacks consideration of rural society.Based on qualitative research,this paper focuses on the game behavior of rural left-behind children,and through questionnaires,interviews and field surveys,it extends the game status itself to the causes,characteristics and influences of the game,showing the overall status of online games of rural left-behind children at present.The main contents of this study include the following four aspects:First,the analysis of the basic situation of online game behavior of rural left-behind children,including the research on game ratio,age of first contact,game type,game length,game payment and game contact way.In general,it shows that the game ratio is high,the age of first play is low,and cell phones,friends and the Internet are the main game contact channels.As well as the phenomenon of rural left-behind children playing for a long time and paying high fees is more significant,but the overall situation is good.Secondly,the analysis of online game behavior characteristics of rural left-behind children is cut into three aspects regarding their action attitudes,behavior states and action feedback,mainly showing,active,high-frequency intensive,ear-to-ear behavior attitudes and states.Third,the causes of online game behavior of rural left-behind children are analyzed based on the game itself,rural environment,children’s self and social changes.The reasons that drive rural left-behind children to play games are both the high temptation of the game itself and the low resistance of children themselves,but the social unrest in rural areas caused by the change of times and unbalanced economic development and the absence of parents are the root causes of their deep games.Fourth,on the influence of online games for rural left-behind children,games can help rural left-behind children strengthen their social interaction ability and also help them make emotional compensation and fill the emotional gap.However,indulgence is likely to make rural left-behind children unable to know themselves correctly,stimulate family conflicts,and cause both physical and mental harm while leading to weak affection.Rural left-behind children are the products of social change,they are strong and fragile,numb and sensitive,eager for love and resistant to it.Therefore,when facing the play behavior of rural left-behind children,we should not just stop them,so as not to cause damage to the construction of their inner world.We should look at their play behaviors dialectically,recognize the root cause of the matter,and guide them correctly together with the society. |
