Social Work Intervention Research On Improving The Service Ability Of Community Social Organizations

Community social organisations are rooted in the community,and as one of the important components of the national governance system,they also assume the identity of community public service providers in grassroots residents’ self-governance.2016 saw the promulgation of the Opinions on Reforming the Management System of Social Organisations and Promoting the Healthy and Orderly Development of Social Organisations by the General Office of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the General Office of the State Council,which clearly stated the emphasis on vigorously fostering community social organisations and Enhancing their social service functions,while the introduction of the Ministry of Civil Affairs’ Opinions on Vigorously Cultivating and Developing Community Social Organizations in 2017 made community social organizations around the country begin to move towards the peak of development.However,at present,the overall level of community social organisations in China is low,and there are still many difficulties in participating in public services.As a discipline that upholds the principle of "helping people to help themselves",social work has unique professional advantages in community work,and can enhance the inadequate capacity of community social organisations through professional social work interventions,so that they can better meet the needs of their clients and realise the goals of community and community social organisations,and community social organisations and community residents.In order to achieve the optimal goal of community self-governance,the thesis is based on the S community in Jiaxing.This thesis takes the S community social organisation in Jiaxing City as an example.The social worker analysed the current situation of the development of the S community social organisation under the semi-structured interview method and observation method,and found that the current problems of insufficient service capacity existed,including the organisation’s insufficient self-management capacity,lack of professional awareness and weak ability to obtain resources.Based on the above problems,the social worker analysed the reasons for the lack of service capacity and the need to improve the service capacity of the organisation.Finally,by analysing the effectiveness of social work before and after the intervention,it was concluded that the social work intervention had improved the organisation’s self-management ability,professional awareness and resource acquisition ability,and had built up a good reputation among the community residents,thus achieving the goal of improving the service capacity of the S community social organisation,and thus improving the grassroots community governance level of the S community social organisation.At the same time,the community recognition of social work has also increased in this social work intervention.However,there are still some shortcomings in this study of social work intervention in the capacity enhancement of community social organisations,in terms of the conclusion of the intervention,the capacity building of community social organisations is a long-term process,therefore,social work needs to further expand and deepen its work in the capacity enhancement of community social organisations;in terms of the intervention process,there are also shortcomings in the specific practice of social workers,including the timeliness of data.In terms of the process of intervention,there are also shortcomings in the practical operation of social workers,including the timeliness of data.This thesis summarises and reflects on the findings of the study through a practical study of social work interventions in community social organisations to provide some reference value for more developing community social organisations,and to provide some reference experience for social work interventions.
