| As the era of AI is quietly coming,creative thinking has gradually become a necessary quality for future talents.STEAM education encourages students to take creative initiative in the process of “doing”,actively integrates life experience in multiple fields to solve practical problems,and has important discoverable value for cultivating creative thinking.Early childhood is the golden period to cultivate creative thinking,and targeted cultivation of children’s creative thinking in this period can yield twice the result with half the effort.Therefore,this thesis,based on STEAM education,attempts to explore the development of children’s creative thinking in STEAM kindergarten teaching activities.Based on the existing research results of early childhood STEAM education and creative thinking cultivation,the research focuses on the level of teaching activities by using literature research methods,test methods,interview methods,and classroom observation methods under the guidance of children’s cognitive development theory and“learning by doing” education theory,and is based on ATDE creative thinking teaching mode.The researcher tries to construct a framework of kindergarten STEAM teaching activities oriented to the cultivation of creative thinking,designs teaching cases and verifying teaching implementation and effects so as to enrich the theoretical and practical research on STEAM education and creative thinking cultivation of young children in China.The research results and conclusions of the paper are as follows:(1)A framework for kindergarten STEAM teaching activities to cultivate creative thinking was constructed.Combining the psychological process of children’s creative thinking with the characteristics of STEAM education,this framework reconstructs the four steps of “ask-think-do-evaluate” of ATDE creative thinking cultivation teaching mode into four links,which are “clear problem,creative conception,creative practice,and display evaluation”,and refines the activities of teachers and students in each link.(2)A case study of kindergarten STEAM teaching activities for the cultivation of creative thinking was designed.According to the framework of teaching activities,combined with the actual situation of the kindergarten and the cognitive characteristics of children,“ecological kindergarten” was selected as the activity theme and related activities were designed.In addition,three teaching activity cases “Classification Dustbin”,“Comfortable Bird’s Nest”,“Warm Greenhouse in Winter” with increasing requirements for children’s cooperative exploration and imagination creation were selected to present the specific implementation process.(3)Kindergarten STEAM teaching activities for the cultivation of creative thinking were implemented.In this study,relying on S Kindergarten in Province H as the practice kindergarten,a senior grade of 30 children was selected to carry out one-semester teaching practice.Combined with classroom observation,children’s works,teacher and child interviews,and psychological tests,the teaching implementation effect was analyzed,and it was found that it could positively affect children’s creative thinking based on better development of STEAM knowledge and literacy. |
