"Geometry and algebra" is one of the four main lines of high school mathematics curriculum.From ancient times to the present,"geometry" and "algebra" have experienced a process from synthesis to separation and finally realizing integration.With the introduction of vectors,the geometric problem is transformed from the comprehensive geometry problem to the vector geometry problem.The PEet A textbook is the most widely used in China.Jiangsu is one of the major education provinces in China,so the Set textbook is representative.This study selects the theme of "geometry and algebra" in the compulsory mathematics textbook of Suzhou Education and Human Education A as the research object,mainly from two aspects of content structure and content difficulty.Using the literature research method,content analysis method and comparative research method,the content structure model and content difficulty model of mathematics textbooks are selected as research tools to conduct qualitative and quantitative research on related content.Based on this,the following two research questions are formulated: 1.What are the characteristics of the two editions of mathematics textbooks in the theme of "geometry and algebra" ?2.What are the differences in the content difficulty of the geometry and algebra mathematics textbooks?Through the comparative study of the two editions of textbooks,the following conclusions are obtained:(1)in terms of style structure,the types and specific contents of the chapters are more abundant,and the A edition of jiao reflects the concept of inquiry learning in the setting of the section columns.(2)In terms of content distribution,the selection of the main content of the two editions of the textbook is consistent with the requirements of the content of the curriculum standard;the division of the knowledge content is detailed while the order and mode of the division of knowledge,and the degree of importance it is emphasized.(3)Presentation mode,In the presentation of the concepts and principles,The Soviet religion edition is extensive and detailed,Focus on the specialized learning of knowledge and content,Apply students’ existing knowledge and experience to solve problems,Concept presentation is more flexible and straightforward,The derivation process of the dynamic presentation formula,Make the learning content more simple and more intuitive;Some of the concepts of the edition are more abstract,Focusing on the logical order of knowledge presentation,Overall learning;On the manifestation of the formulas and theorems,The derivation process of Suzhou Jiao edition is more detailed and has a certain logical order,Proof by using rigorous deductive reasoning on the basis of analogy,Students are easy to understand;The deduction process of human education version A is relatively simple,Direct application of the analogy method leads to relevant conclusions,Students are not guided in their thinking.In the presentation of mathematical culture,the Soviet edition is higher than the human edition in terms of quantity,type and distribution.In addition,the two editions of the textbooks use mathematical culture are internal type.(4)In terms of exercises,the number of examples of the two edition textbooks is similar,the total amount of exercises is different,and the total review questions are the least;the proportion of situational and scientific situations is higher than that of version A,the proportion of life situation examples is lower than the A version of the two edition textbooks have no cultural situation questions;except for exercises,exercises and review questions,"this chapter test" at the end of the chapter,which is divided into multiple choice questions,fill in the blanks and answer questions.(5)In terms of text difficulty,there is not much difference between the two textbooks,and version A is slightly higher.(6)In terms of the difficulty of the example,the relative difficulty value of the example of "background","knowledge content" and "cognitive factor" is greater than that of the A version,and slightly less than that of the A version in terms of "reasoning" factors.(7)In terms of the difficulty of exercises,the relative difficulty value of "background","knowledge content" and "cognitive factor" of the exercises is greater than that of A,and the relative difficulty value of "reasoning" factor is smaller than that of A.To sum up,the content of Suzhou Edition is less difficult than that of "plane vector and its application" than that of A,and the content of "complex" and "solid geometry" is more difficult than that of A.On the whole,the content of geometry and algebra of Suzhou Edition is more difficult than that of A.Therefore,some suggestions are proposed for the compilation of high school mathematics textbooks and the optimized teaching of front-line teachers: Pay attention to the characteristics of textbook style design,stimulate students ’interest in learning;learn from the writing characteristics of different versions of textbooks,organize the content flexibly;enrich the types of knowledge background,build a multi-disciplinary knowledge system;set up the difficulty of various parts of textbooks,promote the development of students’ abilities in all aspects;pay attention to the overall connection between geometry and algebraic content,and highlight the combination of numbers and shapes.
