The General High School Language Curriculum Standards(2017 edition,revised in 2020)clearly states that the language curriculum should focus on promoting the development of all aspects of language literacy of high school students.The emergence of "group reading" is an active exploration under the concept of the new curriculum standard,which can effectively make up for the shortcomings of single-part detailed reading and lecture teaching mode,improve the current situation of high school language reading teaching,thus enriching and improving the form of reading teaching and improving students’ comprehensive quality.At present,the research on the application of group reading teaching is mostly concentrated in elementary and junior high schools,and the research on group reading in high schools is mainly focused on the teaching of novels and ancient poems,while the application of teaching prose,especially modern and contemporary prose,is less.Therefore,this thesis takes the unified version of high school textbooks as the basis for research,and takes the teaching of modern contemporary prose as the entry point for research,and seeks to explore effective implementation strategies for teaching group reading in modern and contemporary prose.In addition to the introduction and conclusion,this dissertation is divided into five parts: the first part is a theoretical explanation of group reading teaching,which defines the concept of "group reading teaching",distinguishes it from other forms of reading teaching,and systematically discusses the theoretical basis for its implementation.The second part focuses on the feasibility of teaching group reading of contemporary prose at the high school level in the context of the unified textbook.The unique textual and pedagogical values of contemporary prose are discussed,and the advantages of teaching resources for reading prose groups are analyzed in terms of the structural arrangement and content settings of the unified textbook.The third part uses questionnaires and classroom observations to further understand the current situation of teaching group reading of contemporary prose in high school,and to explore the problems and causes of the current teaching practice of group reading of prose.The fourth part proposes corresponding teaching strategies in the light of the problems in prose group text teaching practice and the unified textbook.It mainly includes topic setting strategy,text organization strategy,teaching implementation strategy and evaluation strategy.In the fifth part,on the basis of active study and careful reflection on previous achievements,we try to select contemporary prose in the unified textbook for the design of group text teaching cases.With the topic of "The scenery in the soul",we present the teaching design ideas and process in detail,in order to provide reference and help for the front-line teachers in high school to teach prose group texts.
