The "Opinions on Comprehensively Strengthening and Improving School Physical Education Work in the New Era" issued by the Ministry of Education in2020 strictly requires schools to "accelerate the promotion of sunshine sports and ensure that students have one hour of daily physical exercise time".Since then,the improvement of adolescent health has become a national strategy.The newly revised "Sports Law" in 2023 clearly prioritizes the development of youth and school sports,and includes students’ daily physical exercise of no less than 1 hour as a mandatory indicator in the sports law.Its purpose is to enhance students’ physical fitness,improve their personality,enjoy sports fun,and promote their all-round development.Sports activities during break time are indispensable part of school sports work.They not only ensure that students have one hour of exercise time every day,but also enrich the forms of physical exercise and promote the unique development of school sports work.This article takes the current situation of the Sunshine Sports Classroom at Dongfeng East Road Primary School in Guangzhou as the research object,and deeply combines various methods such as literature review,questionnaire survey,interview,and on-site investigation to investigate the successful experience of Dongfeng East Road Primary School Sports Classroom,This article analyzes and summarizes the success and shortcomings of the physical education break in Dongfeng East Road primary school and puts forward the further optimization path.It provides case reference and theoretical support for the more efficient development of school sports recess activities.The research results indicate that:1.The success of the big break at Dongfeng East Road Elementary School lies in the high attention paid by the school;Establishing a systematic evaluation system for the management of break time;Adapting to local conditions and actively creating activity content;Students are highly cooperative and actively involved.2.The construction of the physical education break in Dongfeng East Road Primary School has a promoting effect on teachers and students,which is reflected in promoting the transformation of teachers into developers and innovators;Promoting students’ physical health and physical and mental relaxation;Unity and cooperation,independent innovation;Enjoy sports fun and inherit sports culture;Combining sports and arts to showcase local characteristics.3.After conducting a survey on the break time of Dongfeng East Road Primary School,it was found that there are four shortcomings: There is a shortage of teaching staff;The lack of ball games during break time affects the diversity of content;Sports hardware facilities are not ideal enough;The safety hazards of extracurricular activities.4.Further improve the optimization path for the physical education break of Dongfeng East Road Primary School;Increase the allocation of teachers and create a high-quality teaching team;Adjust measures to local conditions and increase ball games reasonably;Reasonably plan venues for sports break activities;Establish a sound security and prevention mechanism to prevent minor incidents.
