| Since 2021,the national epidemic prevention and control has been effective,entering the post epidemic era.The epidemic was prevented and controlled by the essential part played by internet media.According to the latest statistics of the China Internet Information Center,as of December 2020,the number of Internet users in China had reached 989 million,of which 17.8% were Internet users aged 20-29,ranking third among all age groups(CNNIC,2021).Although for a long time,the research on media use,news cognition,media trust and other issues has received much attention from the academic community,most of the research is conducted in normal social life for the general public,and the COVID-19 epidemic undoubtedly provides special natural conditions for studying such issues in the context of public emergencies.Exploring college students’ media channel selection,news attitude,and media trust during the epidemic is of great theoretical and practical importance,given their highly active media use and abundant news cognition.Young college students,during the epidemic,utilized online media to gain knowledge of the epidemic’s latest prevention news and satisfy their own requirements.However,when college students use online media,they also expose many problems: college students’ media literacy in the information dissemination of the COVID-19 has shown a passive ability to obtain information,aimless ability to choose information,superficial ability to understand information,sensitive ability to distinguish information,superficial ability to resist information,and more seriously,the lack of media literacy has also led to the emergence of a large number of online immoral behaviors.Therefore,the improvement of college students’ media literacy and the important role of this group in the overall work of epidemic prevention and control should receive great attention.This paper will explore the media utilization of college students during the epidemic,as well as the current network atmosphere and the connection between government media,social media,and the college student audience,from the viewpoint of use and satisfaction theory.This study proposes ways to enhance college students’ media literacy and the governance of various media from various perspectives. |
