With the aggravation of aging population, the problem of pension will become an important factor that hamper the sustainable development of our economy and society.According to the 2019 government Work report, the number of elderly people in urban communities is far more than that in rural areas, and home care has become an effective way to solve the old-age care problem. But with decades of urbanization, aging urban communities have also presented great challenges for home care.It has become one of the effective ways to make it fit for aging.Through combing the literature,it is found that the current aging transformation of urban communities in China focuses on the improvement of community hardware facilities and ignores the spiritual and cultural needs of the elderly. There are also dilemma such as imbalance between supply and demand, insufficient endogenous power, imperfect service system, and insufficient full play of the strength of social organizations. In order to alleviate this dilemma, both hard and soft should be applied in the renovation of community ageing, focusing on the cultivation of volunteers to help the elderly;Community help the elderly culture construction, community help the elderly space construction.Due to its rich front-line practical experience and solid professional theoretical background, social work plays an important role in the volunteer service promotion of age-appropriate transformation in the community.By selecting the G Community Z project in Chongqing as a research case, the participatory observation method and semi-structured interview method were adopted to collect first-hand data, sort out the current situation of aging transformation in G community, and sort out the needs of the elderly from low to high under the guidance of Maslow’s hierarchy of needs theory: livable for the elderly, happy for the elderly, and active for the elderly;Focusing on the needs of the elderly in the community and the current situation of age-appropriate transformation, the overall goal of the service is to improve the spiritual and cultural elements of community assistance and support for the elderly, strengthen the service of helping the elderly, and create a more systematic community environment suitable for aging. In the process of implementation, through the development of recreational activities, directly provide services to meet the spiritual and cultural needs of the elderly, and create a happy community atmosphere;Under the guidance of social support theory, build a platform for the elderly association to help it carry out mutual aid support groups for the elderly who have lost their independence, expand the content of volunteer services, and enhance the self-efficacy of the elderly;Under the guidance of empowerment theory, link university resources to carry out capacity improvement workshops to improve the level of volunteer service;Through the five-party linkage, the micro-transformation of public space was completed, and the effect of volunteer service training was tested. Finally, the project is evaluated from both the effectiveness and the process.Through the analysis of social work participation in the Z project,it is found that social work plays an important role as a service provider, resource linker and supervisor with a high degree of professionalism in the process of aging transformation of urban communities. This review of the service process attempts to propose ways for social work to participate in the age-appropriate transformation of urban communities from both soft and hard environments: directly providing elderly assistance services through group work, community work and workshops;Cultivate a team of volunteers to help the elderly and help the "elderly to do something";Link resources to help the elderly and provide internal and external support for service recipients;Help the community build a solid cultural construction and the community to help the elderly.
