Research On The Vocational Ability Improvement Of College Counselors

Entering the new era,China’s domestic and international environment has undergone extremely extensive and profound changes,posing new challenges to the smooth implementation and work of ideological and political education in universities.Counselors are the main force in providing ideological and political education to college students.Therefore,improving the professional ability level of counselors and strengthening the professional construction of the counselor team are of great practical significance for the high-quality development of ideological and political education for college students.This study takes the counselor team of A University in Hubei Province as an example,closely focusing on the study of improving the professional ability of counselors.The combination of theoretical interpretation and empirical research results provides theoretical reference and practical guidance for the study of improving the professional ability of college counselors.This article consists of four parts:Part One: Firstly,an overview of the relevant content on improving the professional abilities of college counselors is provided,which serves as the basis for the content of the paper.Finally,the necessity of enhancing the professional ability of college counselors is discussed.Part 2: Firstly,this article conducts a survey and research on the team of college counselors in A universities in Hubei Province through questionnaire surveys and interviews.Secondly,the questionnaire survey conducted was summarized from three aspects:counselor’s ability to organize activities,knowledge learning ability,and student counseling ability.The third part: This part analyzes the current situation and reasons for the improvement of professional abilities of college counselors,which is the focus of this paper.Firstly,summarize the achievements of A University in improving the professional abilities of counselors.Secondly,based on the summary of questionnaire survey data,we will discuss the difficulties in improving the professional abilities of counselors.Finally,the influencing factors of improving the professional ability of college counselors are analyzed from three dimensions: organizational system factors,social environment,and personal cognitive level.Part Four: Analysis of the Implementation Measures for Improving the Professional Ability of College Counselors,which is the main part of the paper.In response to the above-mentioned issues,we will strengthen the institutional guarantee mechanism for enhancing the professional ability of college counselors,enhance the external conditions of college counselors’ professional ability through the integration of resources,and enhance personal enthusiasm through three-dimensional improvement path strategies.In order to adapt to the new requirements of ideological and political education in the new era and better shoulder the responsibility and mission of educating people for the Party and the country,college counselors must continuously improve their professional abilities and adapt to the requirements of the times.
