A child friendly community is a community that relies on the community, aims to protect and promote children’s development, and serves children, their guardians, and other family members, committed to safeguarding the vital interests of children. It provides multi-dimensional inclusive services in safe and friendly community public spaces, including culture、education、health and services. As an important environment for children’s survival and growth, community is also an important part of their enjoyment of rights and well-being.It need to provide an atmosphere and environment of inclusiveness、respect and participation for children’s growth and enable children to develop healthier character traits and opportunities for safe and healthy growth. The creation of child friendly community has been one of the key construction tasks of the country in recent years, and has also attracted attention in the academic community. It is a key section of research in the field of child development.Creating a child friendly community is not only beneficial for improving the well-being of children in the community, providing them with a more comprehensive community support system and growth environment, but also effectively enhancing children’s awareness of rights and community belonging.Studying the participatory pathways of social work in the process of creating child friendly community can to some extent enrich the concept of children’s social work and promote the research of social work participation in community development. At present, there are problems in the process of creating children friendly community, such as low awareness of children friendly policies among residents, the need to optimize children’s space friendly environment, the simplification of children’s service friendliness, and the shallow cultural friendly atmosphere for children. The participation of social work in the creation of child friendly community is a need to expand the support network for children’s communities, which better promote children’s participation and integration into the community and enhance community residents’ awareness of child friendly communities.Under the guidance of regional development models, social work participation in the creation of child friendly community can be approached from four aspects including policy、space、service and culture. The following aspects can be approached: Firstly, social work guides the transformation of community environment from an "adult perspective" to a "children’s perspective",respecting the opinions of children, who have the right and ability to directly participate in the creation of child friendly communities;Secondly, social work ensures the right of children to participate in the community. In the design and provision of social welfare services, children should not only be regarded as the object of welfare policies and the simple existence of services provided by adults, but should pay attention to the needs of children as independent subjects and believe in their community participation abilities;Thirdly, social work should establish a child-centered linkage service system.During the work process, social workers should pay attention to the skills and factors that families need to acquire and need to improve in child development. On the other hand, social workers should also use families as resources, establish a family community linked child service system, and work together to create a more favorable growth environment for children;Fourthly, social work enriches the content of community friendly culture.Social workers pay attention to publicity, making more people aware of children’s friendliness, and creating a child friendly cultural atmosphere in the community through a subtle process.Residents can voluntarily participate in the process of creating a child friendly community.
