| With the increasing degree of aging,the number of the elderly population in my country is also continuously increasing.At the same time,the increase in age and the gradual degradation of functional status make the elderly more susceptible to various diseases and accidents.Therefore,the elderly The issue of disability has gradually aroused widespread concern in society.However,at this stage,domestic and foreign scholars are mainly concerned about the nursing,rehabilitation and elderly care of the elderly with disabilities,while ignoring the psychological problems and needs of interpersonal communication.Compared with ordinary old people,elderly people who are physically disabled due to physical degenerative changes and diseases in old age are more likely to have irrational beliefs,leading them to gradually withdraw from the original interpersonal circle,further impairing their social functions,Resulting in barriers to interpersonal communication,which is not conducive to their healthy physical and mental development and community integration.Therefore,paying attention to the interpersonal communication barriers of the disabled elderly is of great significance to meet the psychological needs and problems of the disabled elderly,and to promote their physical and mental health development and community integration.The practical development is based on the elderly care service project of a social work organization in Nanjing,with the disabled elderly H in Z community as the service object,using the case work method to intervene in the interpersonal communication obstacles of the service objects,and assisting the service objects to overcome the interpersonal communication obstacles.The semi-structured interview method,participation observation method,and scale measurement methods were used to collect and analyze the interpersonal communication status of the client after physical disability.It was found that the interpersonal communication obstacles of the client were manifested as cognitive biases,negative emotional reactions and negative emotional reactions in interpersonal communication.The act of passive escape.Through communication with clients,their families,neighbors,and community workers,it is discovered that the causes of interpersonal communication barriers of clients are diverse,but the root cause is irrational beliefs after their physical disabilities.The implementation of the practice is guided by the ABC theory,based on the rational emotional therapy model,and improves the interpersonal communication barriers of the client by helping the client identify and repair irrational beliefs and assist the client to consolidate rational beliefs.First,relieve the client’s emotions and guide the client to check their own irrational beliefs;secondly,use Socratic questioning,reasonable emotional imagination,self-disclosure and other techniques to understand the client’s irrational beliefs,and help the client establish interpersonal communication.Positive and rational beliefs;finally,let the client make full use of his own support system,participate in the activities carried out by the elderly care service project team,and promote communication with neighbors and community peers in the activities,so that they can be in communication with others Obtaining recognition will further help oneself consolidate existing rational beliefs,and enhance the community identity and quality of life of the service recipients.At the same time,during the implementation of the practice,the comprehensive diagnostic scale of interpersonal relationship was used to measure the changes in the service.Through the comparison of scores before and after the intervention and the interviews with the service target’s family,neighbors and community staff,it was found that the service target’s interpersonal communication barriers were obtained.improve.Through the reflection and summary of the entire practical process,the following conclusions are drawn: First,in the case,the root cause of the client’s interpersonal communication obstacles is his own irrational beliefs;second,the use of rational emotional therapy mode to intervene in the client’s interpersonal relationship The problem of communication barriers has obvious effects.Third,when using the rational emotional therapy model to intervene in the interpersonal communication obstacles caused by the client’s irrational beliefs,multiple techniques should be used to help the client. |
