Regional activities are an important activity in the daily life of young children.Through continuous interaction with regional activity materials,young children construct cognitive structures and achieve development.Therefore,the ability of teachers to apply materials and improve materials in regional activities has a significant impact on the quality of children’s games.Choosing and applying appropriate materials can ensure the effective implementation of regional activities.However,currently there are mostly novice kindergarten teachers,and inexperienced novice teachers are relatively unfamiliar with the placement of regional materials.Many novice teachers lack theoretical knowledge and practical experience,resulting in inaccurate control over the placement of materials in the area,resulting in poor quality of children’s regional game activities.Taking a public S kindergarten in Weifang as an example,the researcher,class teachers and cooperative teachers formed a joint research body,and action research was carried out in Class D4 using observation,interview and case analysis methods for three months.The study mainly consists of three parts: the first part is an analysis of the problems and reasons for the placement of regional activity materials for novice teachers,and the second part is the design of action plans for the placement of regional activity materials for novice teachers.The third part is the implementation of the action plan for the placement of regional activity materials for novice teachers.Three rounds of research were conducted according to the plan.The first round was to improve the purpose of material placement for novice teachers,the second round was to improve the hierarchy of material placement for novice teachers,and the third round was to improve the openness of material placement for novice teachers.In action research,novice teachers can improve the purpose,level and openness of material delivery,promote the development of children in activities,and improve the theoretical literacy and practical ability of material delivery by grasping children’s core experience.Through the analysis and integration of existing materials,novice teachers can adjust the placement of materials by adopting scientific methods such as layered placement and dynamic placement.At the same time,they have improved their understanding of open materials and adopted an open placement method,breaking the traditional material placement method.This continuously improves the placement ability of novice teachers’ materials and promotes the quality of children’s game activities.Through research,suggestions were proposed from two aspects to promote the placement and improvement of materials for novice teachers.Firstly,suggestions were given to novice teachers: continuously improving their theoretical level and enhancing their game support and guidance abilities;Enhance awareness of regional activities and enhance the ability to observe and analyze young children;Enhance one’s ability to reflect and develop through educational practice.Secondly,suggestions for kindergartens: kindergartens should strengthen professional guidance and increase systematic research and training on regional core experiences;Emphasize the organization of regional activities and the evaluation of children and parents;Reduce the burden on teachers and give them time to observe young children.
