Postgraduate education is at the very top of our national education system,responsible for the cultivation of high-end talents and the creation of scientific and technological innovation.In the new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics,all industries are in urgent need of high-level innovative talents,and postgraduate education plays a more prominent role.In recent years,with the expansion of graduate enrollment,the contradiction and conflict of guiding students have been highlighted.As one of the most important interpersonal relationships in postgraduate education,the quality of the mentoring relationship directly affects the training quality of graduate students.There is a gap between the reality and the ideal in the relationship between tutors and postgraduates,which will result in the level of inner satisfaction.Therefore,it is very necessary to understand the problems existing in the mentee relationship through the satisfaction survey of graduate students.Based on the Role theory and the theory of Hierarchy of Needs,this study takes full-time postgraduate students in colleges and universities in H City as the survey objects,collects data through questionnaire and interview survey,and draws the following conclusions through statistical analysis:Firstly,the current situation of graduate students’ satisfaction with the mentoring relationship:(1)Graduate students think that the satisfaction of the mentoring relationship is good.The gender,subject type,degree type,grade of graduate students and the supervisor’s administrative position have significant influence on the guidance satisfaction.(2)The overall satisfaction of guiding students’ cooperation is general,and the cooperation is not ideal.The subject type and degree type of graduate students have significant influence on the satisfaction of mentee cooperation.(3)The overall satisfaction of the mentees was good,and the mentees had deep feelings.Subject type,grade and supervisor’s gender have significant influence on mentee’s emotional relationship.Secondly,the factors that affect the satisfaction of the relationship between graduate students and mentees are: the cognitive bias of the tutor’s mission of education,the poor way of education,the low sense of achievement of education and the lack of management ability;Graduate students have weak professional foundation,poor autonomy in study and research,low initiative in communication,and incomplete guidance students two-way selection system and supervisor management system.Third,the strategies to improve the satisfaction of the relationship between graduate students and mentees are as follows: supervisors should improve their cognition of job responsibilities,choose the way of science education,adjust their self-efficacy,and improve their ability of education management.Postgraduates should cultivate scientific view of learning,set up correct view of guiding students and strengthen the initiative of communication.Institutionally,we should reform the two-way selection system of mentees and perfect the management system of tutors.
