With the development of China's economic and social,the demand to the type of applied talents is increased a lot,the original structure of graduate education has been difficult to adapt to social needs.The Ministry of Education decided to enroll full-time professional degree graduate from 2009.Now it has been almost 7 years,the scale of the full-time professional degree graduate students is becoming the important trend of the postgraduate education reform.Also the quality problems of full-time postgraduate education has become the concern of scholars.Since supervisors play an important role in the quality of graduate education,this paper study in the present situation of supervisors' instruction to the full-time professional degree graduates.In this paper,survey research and interviews were applied for the study.Investigation found that,although all departments encourage the practice of double tutor system,in fact,the single tutor system is still the main instruction system.And students are satisfied with the single tutor system.A rather high proportion of students prefer the single tutor system in the full-time professional degree graduate education.On the instruction form,face to face communication and seminar are the common ways of communication between students and supervisors.But,the communication frequency is low.The monthly communication time is shot.Students expect more time to communicate with their supervisors.On the instruction content,academic instruction wins the highest score,then the practice instruction.Life guidance has the lowest score.The interviews show that the full-time professional degree students have contradictory expects for the supervisors' instruction.According to the conclusions,in order to improve the quality of full-time professional degree education,the university and departments have many things to do.First of all,they need institutional innovation,set detailed rules and regulations about double tutor system,and improve the the scholarship system for full-time professional degree students.Also,departments should strengthen propaganda to develop supervisors and students' approval for the the full-time professional degree.Last but not least,full-time professional degree students and their supervisors have to work together,enhance interaction.Then the harmonious relationship between teachers and students can come true.
