In recent years, the private higher education course in China has shown a dynamic momentum of development and yielded a large bunch of talents for the society. At the same time, they are facing challenges. Unstable teaching force and poor working enthusiasm of teachers exert negative influence on the teaching quality. The introduction of talents, together with keeping them and making good use of them, has been the key for private higher learning institutes to improve teaching quality. These are inextricably linked with teachers’ job satisfaction. Therefore, studies on the factors influencing job satisfaction of teachers of private colleges attracted the attention of schools and scholars. Their study from the national policies, the school environment, institution building and the work itself point. But there is lack of the specialized research to verify the relationship of personal factors, organization support factors and private college teachers’ job satisfaction. College A is an early established private college. During years of development, its teaching level, quality and scale are representative. That’s why College A was chosen as the target to investigate the job satisfaction and sense of organizational support of teachers in private colleges. This paper tries to find out the key factors that influence job satisfaction of teachers and formulate effective measures to improve job satisfaction and build a high-quality teaching force.This study is based on a lot of literatures. With qualitative and quantitative research methods, the job satisfaction and organizational support of teachers in College A are analyzed. Major problems are detected and recommendations are proposed according to these problems.First, by literature view, a lot of literatures and theoretical research findings have been collected to prepare for this study; then, with interviews and field investigations, job satisfaction and organization support of teachers are studied by information collection and analyzing. And then, design the questionnaire according to the actuality of College A and dig the roots of existing problems with quantitative method by way of data analysis; finally, recommendations are proposed.Questionnaires focus on investigating the relationship between the five major factors that influence job satisfaction, namely, college management, the work itself, work environment, interpersonal relationships and work return and individual variables such as gender, age, marital status, education, job title and tenure in this college. The survey results show that the individual factors influence full-time teachers’ job satisfaction are teachers’ age, education background, titles and working time. Organizational support could influence work return, work environment and interpersonal factors thus contributing to the improvement of teachers’ overall job satisfaction. The survey results show that the main problems concerning the job satisfaction of teachers in College A are as follows: Work return and work environment need to be improved. This study is guided by modern human resources management and other relevant organizational support theories. Targeting the above problems, this paper puts forward recommendations for improvement and tries to improve job satisfaction of teachers in College A by enhancing work return, improving work environment and planning for teachers’ occupation development.
