The Central Education Daily pointed out that vocational schools should do precise and practical on-the-job internships,and jointly cultivate high-quality talents between schools and enterprises.Post internship is an important teaching activity to achieve the goal of cultivating professional talents,a key link to strengthen students’ operational skills,and a necessary way to cultivate students’ professional ethics and craftsmanship spirit.The Ministry of Education aims to standardize the organization and management of internships,clarify the code of conduct for student internships,and set a "red line" for student internship management.The on-the-job internship in the operation and management major of high star hotels in vocational schools involves multiple job categories,complex contact groups,and high requirements for the comprehensive quality of interns.It is necessary to achieve learning by doing in a real environment.If the teaching design of the on-the-job internship is not scientific,it will affect the quality of students’ on-the-job internship.Exploring the effectiveness of internship teaching has direct significance and value in improving the quality of education and cultivating students’ practical skills.Based on the ISO9000 family standard concept,referring to the training objectives of internship and national practical teaching standards,after selecting and improving evaluation indicators,determining the weight of indicators,and setting up main observation points,the effectiveness evaluation index system and evaluation standards for on-the-job internship teaching in the operation and management of star rated hotels in vocational high schools are finally constructed.Using questionnaire survey and interview methods,based on the main observation points,a survey questionnaire and interview outline were developed to evaluate the effectiveness of on-the-job internship teaching in the target school.Based on the evaluation results,the problem indicators were deconstructed,and the following conclusions were drawn: firstly,the evaluation index system for the effectiveness of on-the-job internship teaching is applicable to Chongqing M Vocational School;Secondly,the effectiveness of on-the-job internship teaching at M Vocational School in Chongqing is low;Thirdly,the main factors that affect the quality of on-the-job internship teaching at M Vocational School in Chongqing are the professional department and internship guidance teachers.The paper consists of six parts.The first part is an introduction,mainly introducing the research background and significance,research purpose and content,as well as research ideas and methods.The second part is the core concepts and theoretical foundation,defining the concepts of on-the-job internships and teaching effectiveness,and elaborating on the theory of total quality management and the theory of teaching process optimization.The third part is the construction of the evaluation index system for the effectiveness of on-the-job internship teaching.Based on the ISO9000 family standard concept,the training objectives of learning,internship,and national practical teaching standards,referring to scholars’ research results,and combining interview information,the evaluation index system for the effectiveness of on-the-job internship teaching in the operation and management major of middle and high vocational star hotels is constructed and evaluation standards are established.The fourth part is the evaluation of the effectiveness of on-the-job internship teaching in the operation and management major of high star hotels at M Vocational School in Chongqing.Through questionnaire survey and interview methods,the actual situation of on-the-job internship teaching in the target school is investigated.The fifth part is a strategy to improve the effectiveness of on-the-job internship teaching in the operation and management major of high star hotels at M Vocational School in Chongqing.The sixth part is the conclusion and outlook. |
