Facing the social demand,focusing on the education before students' employment is the aim of modern vocational education to cultivate talents,the development of practical teaching in China's secondary vocational and technical schools plays an important role in training talents to adapt to the society and market demand.In the opinions of the people's government of the Tibet autonomous region on implementing the decision of the state council on accelerating the development of modern vocational education,the Tibet autonomous region has set the development of secondary vocational education as a strategic task of practical teaching and research on the modern vocational education system.By 2020,secondary vocational education in Tibet can meet the needs of local economic and social development and industrial transformation and upgrading.The people's government of Tibet has made overall arrangements to optimize the environment for the development of secondary vocational education.Reasonably planning the structural scale of the post;Set up related majors scientifically;Improving the conditions for running professional schools;Thus creating a modern vocational education system with Tibetan characteristics.The guideline pointed out that the prefectures and municipalities of Tibet should focus on running a standardized vocational school with special features toimprove the level of vocational education in Tibet and its ability to serve the society.As a key secondary vocational school in Lhasa,the improvement and optimization of training and teaching play an important role in running schools and talent cultivation of secondary vocational schools in Lhasa and even the whole Tibet region.In particular,with the promotion of tourism in Tibet,the development of the hotel industry needs more and more high-quality and highly skilled talents.How to better cultivate hotel service talents with high quality and skills is the focus of the teaching reform of hotel management major in Lhasa second secondary vocational and technical school,Lhasa second secondary vocational and technical college is a key comprehensive secondary vocational school in Lhasa,Tibet.The school was founded in 2013 with a short history.Although teaching reform has been carried out in recent years,the teaching mode of the major still needs to be strengthened.The school aims to "strengthen practical teaching and cultivate application-oriented talents" for the economic and social development of Tibet,We have developed and trained people with practical skills.Practical training teaching has always been an important link for vocational schools to cultivate skilled personnel.In China,the practical training mode of many vocational schools has been relatively perfect,while the practical training teaching research in Lhasa vocational schools is lack of systematicness,which needs to be further studied and improved.The practical training and teaching research of hotel service and management major in the second secondary vocational and technical school of Lhasa is of great significance to the training of compound and applied talents in the hotel major.This paper focuses on the practical training and teaching of hotel service and management in the second secondary vocational and technical school of Lhasa city.The questionnaire survey and interview method were used to investigate and study the first-grade,second-grade and third-grade of the hotel major in the school,as well as teachers and cooperative hotel staff,to understand the specific problems existing in the practical teaching of the major.Then,Suggestions were put forward to optimize the practical teaching of the second-duty hotel service and management major in Lhasa.There are five specific Suggestions.The first is to build advanced standardized training equipment and strengthen the opening of training rooms.The second is to improve the practical training teaching content system in line with the actual needs of the hotel major.Third,the practical teaching adheres to the student-oriented principle and strengthens the cultivation of students' professional quality.Fourth,we will build a strong contingent of practical teachers and improve the quality of practical teaching.Fifth,deepen school-enterprise cooperation and enhance enterprises' participation in practical training and teaching.
