With the continuous development of society and the popularity of the Internet,students’ learning styles and approaches have undergone radical changes.2017 edition of the new geography standard condenses the four core literacies of high school geography: the coordinated view of people and places,regional cognition,integrated thinking,and geographic practical power,and these four core literacies have put forward higher requirements for both teachers and students.The new geography standard clearly proposes that the cultivation of core literacy should be based on real and complex situations,so that the course content can be contextualized and only in real situations can students’ geography core literacy be tested and students can transform book knowledge into the ability to solve real-life problems.It reflects the change and development of ecological environment and has the characteristics of authenticity,timeliness and dynamics,which can make students understand the relationship between human and land from the geographic events in life,enhance the vividness,discernment and experience of geography classroom teaching,and is of great significance to the cultivation of students’ concept of human-land harmony.Therefore,this paper chooses to apply ecological and environmental current affairs hotspots to study the cultivation of human-earth harmony concept among high school students.Based on constructivist learning theory,life education theory,information processing learning theory and sustainable development theory,this paper firstly summarizes and synthesise previous research results by using literature research method,and defines the concepts of current affairs hotspots,ecological and environmental current affairs hotspots and the concept of human-earth harmony.Secondly,we used questionnaires and classroom observations to investigate the current situation and analyze the results of cultivating the concept of human-land harmony among high school students by using ecological and environmental hotspots,mainly investigating students’ and teachers’ attention to ecological and environmental hotspots,their awareness of the concept of human-land harmony,students’ cultivation of the concept of human-land harmony,and teachers’ use of ecological and environmental hotspots to cultivate the concept of human-land harmony among high school students.Through the survey,we found that teachers and students have various and convenient ways to obtain ecological and environmental current affairs hotspots;teachers pay more attention to ecological and environmental current affairs hotspots and recognize the value of ecological and environmental current affairs hotspots in geography teaching and students’ cultivation of the concept of human-land harmony.At present,the main problems of high school geography teachers’ application of ecological and environmental hotspots in cultivating students’ concept of human-land coordination are:(1)the development and application of ecological and environmental hotspots need to be strengthened;(2)the understanding of the concept of human-land coordination needs to be deepened,and it is difficult to put it into practice;(3)the purpose of the application of ecological and environmental hotspots is not clear enough;(4)the teaching method of cultivating the concept of human-land coordination is relatively single.Based on the above-mentioned problems,the following strategies are proposed for the use of ecological and environmental current affairs hotspots to cultivate the concept of human-land harmony among high school students:(1)Strengthen the development of ecological and environmental hotspots,including multiple ways to dig and organize teaching materials,select typical materials according to the content of teaching materials,and focus on timeliness and interest;(2)To clarify the purpose of applying the topical issues of ecology and environment in different teaching sessions,to create a situation of human-land relationship in the introduction session,to analyse the human-land conflict dialectically in the explanation session,to understand the concept of human-land harmony in the conclusion session,and to test the level of human-land harmony in the consolidation session;(3)Innovative teaching methods for cultivating students’ view of human-land harmony in current affairs hotspots of ecology and environment,such as issue-based teaching method,random access teaching method and experiential contextual teaching method;(4)Using ecological and environmental current affairs hotspots to carry out practical activities and implement the cultivation of students’ view of human-land harmony.Finally,based on the specific strategies proposed,taking the third section of the third chapter of the selective compulsory textbook "Ecological Protection and National Security" of the People’s Education Press as an example,a typical current event related to ecology and the environment – "The Ecological Crisis and Protection of Poyang Lake in 2022" was selected for teaching case analysis and design.The innovation of this paper is that it discusses the cultivation of human-land harmony among high school students from the perspective of ecological and environmental current affairs hotspots.Through the investigation and analysis of the current situation,the strategy of applying ecological and environmental current affairs hotspots to cultivate the concept of human-land harmony among high school students is proposed and illustrated with examples in order to provide reference for the study of ecological and environmental current affairs hotspots to cultivate the concept of human-land harmony among high school students.
