| The cultivation of students’ core literacy in physics is the vane of a new round of curriculum reform and the necessary character that students should have in the new era.As more and more researchers devote themselves to the study of core literacy,the educational function of some international competitions has gradually attracted the attention of researchers.International Young Physicists’ Tournament(IYPT for short)is a physics competition organized by universities with the participation of high school students.It takes team debate and confrontation as the competition form,and takes questions involving force,electricity,light,heat and sound as the competition content,and takes multiple evaluation as the evaluation mechanism.It aims to cultivate high school students’ innovative consciousness,innovative thinking,cooperative spirit and practical ability.Based on the existing theories,this paper attempts to introduce the competition form,competition content and evaluation method of International Young Physicists’ Tournament into high school physics teaching.After proposing the corresponding teaching strategies and designing the teaching process,the teaching practice is carried out,in order to verify the effectiveness of IYPT in the cultivation of high school students’ core physics literacy and promote the cultivation of students’ core physics literacy in practice.The research of this paper mainly includes the following parts:First of all,in terms of theoretical research,the competition system and the characteristics of the competition questions of IYPT are analyzed,and the educational elements that can effectively improve the core literacy of students in physics are extracted from IYPT.The competition mechanism and evaluation mechanism of IYPT are studied by combining the literature and achievements of relevant researches at home and abroad,and the competition resources of IYPT competition questions that are suitable for high school physics teaching are deeply explored.Besides,the relationship between IYPT and the cultivation of students’ physical core literacy is summarized.Secondly,taking IYPT as the starting point,this paper bases on relevant literature research and theoretical analysis,proposes certain teaching strategies,designs corresponding teaching processes for high school physics teaching.What’s more,innovation should be made in teaching form and content.The teaching form is based on the competition system of IYPT,which applies early preparation,medium-term cooperation discussion and evaluation in the final stage.The teaching content is based on the contest problem of IYPT,and appropriate contest problem resources are introduced into high school physics teaching in order that we can achieve efficient self-learning before class,effective cooperative discussion during class,objective evaluation of gains and losses after class,and cultivate students’ core physical literacy through the whole teaching process.Finally,in terms of practical application,a semester of teaching practice will be carried out in high school based on the teaching strategy and process proposed by IYPT.Through data analysis of the physics scores of students participating in the teaching practice,analysis of the examination of core literacy in the test papers,a survey of students’ class identification and an interview with relevant teachers,it is known that students’ physics scores have been improved after using this kind of teaching process and methods.They are willing to take the initiative to analyze problems from the physical perspective and have an enhanced awareness of cooperation and communication.These phenomena can confirm that it is feasible and effective to cultivate the core physical literacy of high school students based on IYPT to some extent. |
