After the implementation of Student Comprehensive Quality Evaluation in Shanghai,the importance of high schools to students' research-based learning has been significantly increased,and it requires teachers of each subject to offer research-based curriculums.For Physics,the problems from annual IYPT have certain depth and interest,which is a good research-based learning resource for high school students.Meanwhile,the Shanghai Young Physicists' Tournament(SYPT)has been held once a year since 2015,providing a good platform for students to study and communicate.Therefore,if we can offer an research-based courses on the basis of IYPT problems and guide students to complete the research on the questions,it will not only enable students to experience the necessary research-based learning process,but also effectively cultivate students' Core Competencies of Physics.Illustrated by the Case of Shanghai G School,this research will survey the G school students' ability to explore and their research learning demands,at the same time,combined with the related teaching theory and existing practical experience,design an research-based elective with IYPT resources.This research points out that improving students' ability of raising questions,modeling,communicating and measuring with computers as well as teaching them experiment theory and scientific norms is the main objective of the course.This course has been practiced in G School.Through the analysis of students' achievement changes and the interviews survey,it can be found that this course has a positive effect on students' physics scores,exploration ability and scientific attitude.
