At present,the lack of professionals is the fetter that hinders the development of mini basketball.As the leader of mini basketball teaching,coaches bear the responsibility of teaching mini basketball rules to players.Moreover,if coaches do not follow the requirements of the mini basketball rules to teach and do not implement the purpose of the mini basketball “modify the rules of adult games to adapt to the physical and mental development of children”,they may not be able to stimulate children’s interest in basketball.The purpose of this research is to understand the current situation of coaches’ cognition of the mini basketball rules in basketball training institutions,and to explore the influencing factors of coaches’ cognition of the mini basketball rules,hoping to provide baseline data for future research on the rules of mini basketball.In this paper,the Delphi method is used to compile the “Questionnaire on the awareness of mini basketball rules for coaches in basketball training institutions”.The questionnaire contains two parts: the individual background of the coaches and the awareness questionnaire.The entropy method is used to assign a value to each topic,with a full score of 100,and the evaluation standards are formulated with reference to the training and evaluation experience of the Chinese Basketball Association’s E-level coaches.The questionnaire was distributed to 122 coaches from 10 basketball training institutions certified by the Fujian Basketball Association through Questionnaire Stars and field visits.Using SPSS26.0,a descriptive analysis of the surveyed coaches’ team status,overall status of cognition,and correct cognition of topics were performed.The Chi-square test and Fisher’s exact test were used to analyze the differences between the individual differences and cognitive levels of coaches.The research results and conclusions are as follows:1.Coaches in basketball training institutions generally have poor awareness of the rules of small basketball.Among them,only 2 people(1.6%)have excellent and good awareness levels,34 people(27.9%)have passed,and 84 people(68.9%)have failed.2.The average value of correct awareness of the violation dimension is the highest,at 71.3%.Affected by the adult basketball rules,there are still some coaches who are difficult to grasp the penalty scale for violations.The definition and purpose dimension is57.0%,and few coaches will pay attention to the purpose of the mini basketball rules.The foul dimension is 54.5%,affected by the adult basketball rules,some coaches are difficult to grasp the foul penalty scale.The dimension of field equipment specifications is 50.8%.Some coaches lack systematic study of the rules of mini basketball and do not have a clear understanding of field equipment specifications.The dimension of the general rules of the game is 46.2%.In the grassroots mini basketball events,the enforcement of the rules is not high,which affects the perception of the coaches.The average correct awareness of the dimension of offensive and defensive rules is the lowest,only 45.5%,which may be due to the fact that the revised rules have not been passed on to the grassroots coaches,and the coaches’ learning of the mini basketball rules has not kept pace with the times.3.Analysis of differences based on gender,age,and years of coaching showed p < 0.05,which may be due to uneven distribution of the number of people;based on academic qualifications,basketball coach certification,basketball referee certification,mini basketball league experience,nature of work and coach types showed p > 0.05,which illustrates popularization effect of mini basketball rules is not obvious.Combining the research conclusions of this article,several suggestions are put forward for the improvement of coaches’ cognition of the the mini basketball rules:(1)the popularization of the mini basketball rules should face all coaches;(2)the construction of standard mini basketball courts;(3)improve the quality of holding mini basketball game;(4)improve the relevant training system of the mini basketball rules;(5)carry out a coach survey on cognition of the mini basketball rules in other provinces. |
