In high school geography teaching,geography experiment teaching is a teaching method with strong operability,wide application range and high frequency of use compared with other geography practice activities.As an important geographical inquiry activity,the geographical experimental teaching plays an important role in the cultivation of students’ geographical inquiry ability.By consulting the research materials about geography experiment teaching at home and abroad,it is found that the current research on geography experiment teaching mainly focuses on the theoretical basis of geography experiment teaching,as well as the design of specific cases of geography experiment teaching,while the geography experiment teaching in terms of cultivating students’ ability to explore geography There is less research.Based on the theory of constructivism,learning by doing,and inquiry-based learning,this paper adopts the method of literature analysis to analyze the domestic and foreign research status of cultivating students’ geographical inquiry ability in geographical experimental teaching,and defines the geographical experimental teaching and geographical inquiry ability..Through the analysis,it is concluded that cultivating students’ geographical inquiry ability is an important purpose of implementing and optimizing geographical experimental teaching,and geographical experimental teaching is an important way to cultivate students’ geographical inquiry ability.This paper takes the geographical experimental teaching as the research carrier,through the literature analysis method,combined with the requirements of the curriculum standard,the hints about the geographical experimental teaching in the geography textbooks and the needs of the students’ development,to sort out the high school geography optional compulsory course 1 of the People’s Education Edition that is suitable for training students in geography There are a total of 33 geography experimental teaching contents and projects for inquiry ability.According to the degree of exploration of students in geographical experimental teaching,the geographical experimental teaching suitable for cultivating students’ geographical inquiry ability is divided into:imitation type,design type and inquiry type experiment.This paper concludes that the geographical experimental teaching suitable for cultivating students’ geographical inquiry ability has the characteristics of experiential,autonomous,generative,exploratory and comprehensive.In order to understand the existing problems of teachers in cultivating students’ geographical inquiry ability and to construct a geographical experimental teaching strategy,this paper formulates a general performance evaluation scale for high school students’ geographical inquiry ability.The ability of geographic exploration is relatively low,and the specific performance is as follows: the ability to solve geographic problems is relatively high,the ability to analyze geographic problems is average,and the ability to generate geographic problems is poor.Reflecting on the teachers’ teaching through the problems existing in the students,it is found that the teachers’ improper use of strategies in the geographical experimental teaching will seriously restrict the development of the students’ geographical exploration ability.According to the results of classroom observation,this paper proposes corresponding solutions to the problems of cultivating geographic inquiry ability reflected in teaching,which mainly include: cultivating students’ ability to generate geographic problems,analyze geographic problems and solve geographic problems in geographic experimental teaching.Problem competency strategy.At the same time,under the corresponding strategies proposed,combined with the geography experimental teaching content suitable for cultivating students’ geographical inquiry ability in Geography Selective Compulsory 1 of the People’s Education Edition,a corresponding geography experimental teaching case is designed for reference.In order to test whether the strategy is effective,this paper applies the action research method to carry out teaching practice in high school.Through teaching practice,it is concluded that:(1)Geography experimental teaching can cultivate students’ geographical inquiry ability and narrow the differences in geographical inquiry ability among students;(2)Geography experimental teaching has a significant effect on cultivating students’ ability to analyze geographical problems,and can help students generate geographical problems and solve them.The cultivation of geographic problem ability is relatively large,and the effect of improving students’ communication and expression ability is small.(3)The improvement of the performance elements of geographic exploration ability in geographic experiment teaching varies greatly.But in general,geography experiment teaching is a powerful tool for cultivating students’ ability to explore geography.
