Traditionally,due to the value orientation of social division of labor,the majors are increasingly subdivided.and the talents cultivated cannot meet the demand of innovative and compound talents for the rapid technological changes in the new era.In the Outline of the National Medium and Long-term Program for Education Reform and Development(2010-2020),it is clearly proposed to determine the talents training target of “broad caliber,thick foundation,strong ability and high quality”based on the economic environment.Relying on the national macro policy and driven by the needs of economic and social development,in recent years,many colleges and universities in China have innovated the talents training mode by reforming the way of enrollment,namely“categories enrollment”.In fact,objectively speaking,the way of “categories enrollment”be faced with delays in students’ choice of major s,and after “categories enrollment”,they face the challenge of the second major choice and diversion.From the perspective of stakeholders,students are one of the core beneficiaries of the implementation of major diversion,and their feedback to the major diversion will have a profound impact on the education and teaching management of colleges and universities.Therefore,from the perspective of students’ satisfaction,this paper explores the effect of major diversion in colleges and universities.However,considering the differences in the implementation of major diversion modes in different colleges and universities,this paper takes T University as an example to explore the current situation and influencing factors of major diversion in colleges and universities under the background of categories enrollment.This paper selects the students who have completed categories enrollment and major diversion as the research object,constructs the model of students’ satisfaction to major diversion,uses the structural equation model to investigate the major diversion effect,and analyzes the internal relationship and action mechanism among the factors affecting students’ satisfaction,so as to provide guiding significance for improving the major diversion reform in colleges and universities.The results show that students’ satisfaction level of major diversion is general,and there are great differences especially affected by gender,grade and major.Among them,Students’ expectation perceived process quality and major results have a direct positive impact on major diversion satisfaction,And students’ expectation negatively affect the perceived process quality and perceived major results,which will have an impact on major diversion satisfaction.On the basis of the research conclusions,this paper puts forward countermeasures for the management system of major diversion,the way students choose majors,and strengthening the guidance of major diversion by other stakeholders.
