With the development of Internet technology,the acceleration of national education informatization process and the need for change and innovation in higher education,the enhancement of digital literacy of college students is particularly important.With its powerful advantages,mobile learning method has become one of the most important learning methods in higher education institutions currently.However,hindered by the lack of self-management ability of learners,the uneven quality of mobile learning platforms,the imperfect creation of learning environment in higher education institutions,and the inadequate support of teachers,the sustainable use of mobile learning methods among students is not optimistic.It has become a hot topic in the field of educational academia for the way to improve their willingness to use mobile learning methods continuously.Underpinned by the Technology Acceptance Model and the Information System Success Model,the dissertation investigates why college students discontinue their mobile learning behaviours based on their use of mobile learning methods in the mainland of China,trying to improve the willingness of college students to use mobile learning methods consistently.Based on the results of the literature and semi-structured interviews,the author found four factors that are perceived interest,community influence,perceived economic cost and privacy concern for constructing a research model of the factors influencing college students’ willingness to use m-learning consistently according to McLean and DeLone’s Information System Success Model and Davis’ Technology Acceptance Model.Questionnaires which were outlined according to the model had been dispatched to college students studying from Beijing,Shandong,Anhui,Hunan and Guangdong provinces and finally collected 672 valid samples.Through the empirical analysis,the following conclusions were concluded:(1)The high rate of mobile device ownership among the college students’ group has laid the material foundation for their use of mobile learning methods.The study shows that there is no significant difference between college students’ gender and disciplinary background in terms of satisfaction and willingness to use continuously,and only academic level shows partial difference in satisfaction.(2)The informative and systematic quality of mobile learning platform as a medium of mobile learning plays an important role.In the process of mobile learning,college students’ perceptions of usefulness and interestingness affect the satisfaction and continuous willingness to learn.The role of community influence cannot be ignored either.(3)There are many aspects involved in enhancing college students’ willingness to use mobile learning continuously.College students can perceive the interest and advantages of mobile learning through the reasonable use of mobile devices.Teachers should change their educational concepts,update their teaching methods in time,and provide mobile learning guidance.Higher education institutions should speed up the construction of mobile campuses to create a good mobile learning environment for students,and should build learning platforms with other subjects,work together to guarantee the quality of the platforms,improve students’ satisfaction,and increase the frequency of using mobile learning methods.
