| In recent years,the cultivation of social responsibility has been paid close attention to by the Party and the state.Both educational policy reform and related reports clearly point out that students’ moral quality,sense of responsibility and cultural knowledge are equally important.Children are the future and hope of the motherland and nation,and their plasticity is great,so it is particularly important to cultivate children’s sense of social responsibility in the critical period.However,at present,the cultivation of children’s sense of responsibility in many families and schools mostly stays at the level of theoretical education,lacking practicality,which leads to children’s inadequate understanding of social responsibility,weak awareness of social responsibility,and mere formality when practicing social responsibility,it is imperative to explore more ways to hoist children’s emotion of social responsibility.Volunteer service has strong practicality,and its spirit of “dedication,mutual assistance,friendship and progress” is also the embodiment of social responsibility,which is related to each other.Therefore,this study will take voluntary service as the path,use group social work method to intervene children with insufficient sense of social responsibility,and then design targeted group activities to enhance children’s level of social responsibility by evaluating the needs of group members.In this study,children in E community were investigated from five dimensions of social responsibility,using questionnaires,semi-structured interviews,participation observation and other methods.The results show that there are problems in the community children’s sense of social responsibility in five dimensions: society,collective,family,others and self.By analyzing the influencing factors,it is found that these problems are caused by children themselves,parents,school education,social environment and other factors.Referring to survey data,8 subjects were selected in this study,and their needs were assessed.Then,based on the theory of role commitment,cognitive behavior and social learning,this study combined with the five dimensions of social responsibility,let children participate in different volunteer services,designed and carried out six group activities.Finally,through interviews,feedback forms and scales,the effect of group activities was evaluated,and it turns out volunteer service group activities have indeed played a significant role in improving children’s emotion of responsibility.To sum up,this study believes that taking volunteer service as the path to carry out group activities has achieved remarkable results in improving children’s sense of social responsibility.Finally,the study also reflected on the group activities,and put forward feasible suggestions for social workers to carry out related work in the future. |
