| With the progress of society and human civilization,volunteer service is further developed,the content of volunteer service is richer,and the people who participate in volunteer service are more and more diverse.Under the call of the society,children also join the team of volunteer service becoming an important reserve army of volunteer service activities.Based on the children volunteer service project in Chongqing J Community this paper conducted investigation and evaluation by using the methods of interview questionnaire and participatory observation Based on the analysis of collected data,it was found that the children volunteers in this community had little social experience immature physical and mental development,insufficient skills to participate in volunteer service insufficient teamwork ability and insufficient cognition of volunteer service.The service level is not high,the service effect is not good.On this basis,the author analyzes the causes of the problems,explores the factors that lead to the insufficiency of children’s volunteer service ability from the point of view of children themselves,and improves their volunteer service ability.Based on the theory of social learning and the theory of advantage perspective the author aims at children’s lack of comprehensive knowledge of volunteer service,lack of cooperation between children volunteers in the process of volunteer service,and lack of practical skills in volunteer service activities.The author uses the method of group work to set up an eight-member team to improve children’s volunteer service ability.Combined with the needs assessment pretest sheet,the author conducts an interventional study from three aspects of children’s cognitive ability,teamwork ability and practical skills.This study firstly introduced the development background of volunteer research,then sorted out relevant domestic and foreign literature,summarized and analyzed the content,current situation and intervention methods of domestic and foreign volunteer service ability improvement.Secondly combined with relevant research data and the basic situation of community child volunteers,designed a questionnaire to assess the needs of 8-12 year old registered child volunteers in J community.And design the service scheme for practical research.Finally,the author evaluates the research process and results,reflects on the process and summarizes the experience,provides some reference experience for the relevant research on improving the service ability of children volunteers,and makes contributions to further promote the participation of children in volunteer services.Through this group social work practice study the following conclusions are drawn:first,the method of group work is conducive to solving the common problems of children volunteers;Secondly,social learning theory and advantage perspective theory are beneficial to the development and promotion of children in group work.Thirdly,the effectiveness of practical training method can help children volunteers acquire skills in line with the service expectations of children volunteers through peer observation and learning in practical activities consolidate acquired behaviors through action reproduction,and enhance the motivation process of children’s volunteer service.To a certain extent this paper provides a basis for improving the service ability of children volunteers involved in group work. |
