Social work resumed and developed in the late 1980 s.The Sixth Plenary Session of the Sixteenth Central Committee of the CPC proposed to "build a grand team of social work talents",which has brought opportunities for the development of social work.During this period,social work education has developed rapidly,and the professional setting and organizational construction of social work have become increasingly diversified and scientific.Moreover,the process of social work professionalization is also rapid expansion.Professional social workers have a positive sense of career identity,which is an important manifestation of the professionalization of social work.It is conducive to stabilizing the social worker team,promoting the self-development of social workers,expanding the professional talent team of social work,and promoting the professionalization and specialization development of social work.In this study,9 professional social workers from social work institutions in Guiyang City were selected as the research objects,and a semi structured interview method and an interview outline prepared by the author were used to interview professional social workers from social work institutions in Guiyang City.The current situation of career identity of social workers in Guiyang is presented from four dimensions: career motivation,career cognition,career feelings,and career expectations.The author found that the current situation of career identity of social workers in Guiyang is negative.Based on the current situation of career identity of social workers in Guiyang City,this paper summarizes the difficulties faced by professional social workers in Guiyang City,including lack of a sense of job ownership,negative self-efficacy,negative career development,and vague understanding of social work by the public.In response to this situation,the author proposes relevant countermeasures to promote the career identity of professional social workers in Guiyang City from three aspects,namely,the self-development of social workers,the organizational construction and optimal management of professional social work institutions,and the strengthening of social propaganda and support for social work in multiple aspects,to provide some supplements for the current research on the career identity of social workers.
