As the advanced position for the economic and social development of our country Shenzhen has always focused on social works since Dec.2006.During these years,Shenzhen has achieved initial success in such social works,accumulated lots of experiences and formed its unique “Shenzhen Model”.However,the high turnover rate of social workers in the community will directly influence the construction of the professionalism of social works.This paper has studied the career identity of community social workers by means of research methods including questionnaire survey and interview.Based on the existing study on career identity,corresponding questionnaires are designed and formulated,which will be applied to survey various community social works.The study found that: on the whole,the career identity level of community social workers is relatively low,of which the career identity level is the lowest,the occupational emotion level is the highest and the Professional behavior disposition is the mediate.The study also found that: the various factors(gender?age?background of education?professional background and years of working on social works)have no obvious impact on their career identity.Social work community(salary?promotion system)as well as the society(social work policies)have obvious impact on that.Therefore,to improve the social worker career identity and reduce the agency social worker turnover provides concrete Suggestions and comments:Social works aspect: Efforts to enhance personal identity in the profession,establish social workers 'values,and enhance social workers' practical ability,establish the correct view of career choice.Focus on cultivating social work values,combined theoretical teaching and practice.Institutional aspects: To seek diversified cooperation,and establish a sound system of talent management and promotion.Improve the service capacity of the organization,and deepen the institutional culture.Social aspects: The Government should be more open tosupport the development of social workers,stimulate the flexibility of institutional operations,increase publicity on social workers,to promote social work legislation,improve the professional social work system.
