| In recent years, with the continuous economic and social development and people’s higher demand for health, the 19 th Party Congress has put forward the implementation of the Health China Strategy and the provision of all-round and whole-cycle health services for the people, and medical social work, which focuses on the health status of the whole person, has received increasing attention and development. In particular, with the encouragement of national policies, regions such as Beijing,Shanghai and Shenzhen have taken the lead in the practice of medical social work based on their own advantages and resources, and other regions are also gradually beginning to explore medical social work, but in the process of development, there are problems such as imperfect policy support, unsound institutional mechanisms and uncoordinated service systems. Therefore,it is important to discuss and study the development strategies of medical social work based on local conditions. From the perspective of embedding theory, the author uses interviews, participant observation and literature research to critically observe and summarise the development process of medical social work in Z hospitals in the central region, and to study and analyse the causes, processes and effects of its development. The study found that medical social work can be rapidly embedded in the healthcare system with the help of policies and administrative power, and obtain the service space given up by traditional administrative social work, and carry out service activities after successful embedding.A series of problems have been identified. At the same time,it is also found that the post-development regions of medical social work have a high degree of theoretical and professional autonomy from the very beginning, and while learning from the development models of medical social work in other regions, they pay great attention to adjusting their service plans in accordance with their own accumulated practical experience and the actual situation of the region,in order to find a new model of medical social work services that best suits the actual situation of the region.Accordingly, the study proposes four strategies for the localised development of medical social work, including cognitive embedding as an entry point to enhance the professional identity of medical social work;service embedding as a base to bring into play the professional value of medical social work;structural embedding as a support point to promote the professional development of medical social work;and institutional embedding as a key point to explore a new model for the localised development of medical social work.It is hoped that on the basis of the summing up of the previous development experience in the region, the right approach can be adhered to and the pace and strategy of development can be readjusted,so as to accelerate the construction of a medical social work service system with local characteristics and achieve high-quality development of medical social work. |
