"The Decision on Deepening Educational Reform and Developing Quality Education in an All-Round Manner of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council" points out that intellectual education should transform educational concepts,reform talent cultivation models,actively implement heuristic and discussion based teaching,stimulate students’ awareness of independent thinking and innovation,and effectively improve teaching quality.Because it can encourage students to actively think,support them in developing a clear political direction,strengthen their sense of social responsibility,and cultivate their exploration spirit and ability,inquiry teaching,as an important new teaching method against the backdrop of the new curriculum reform,has become a crucial practice in teaching design.In inquiry teaching,inquiry questions play a crucial role.Exploratory questions emphasize problem-based situations that guide students to engage in positive thinking activities,collaborate,and explore learning,ultimately achieving value leadership for students in problem solving.Therefore,the application research of exploratory questions is a very important part of the current ideological and political teaching in high schools,and it is also a content that high school ideological and political teachers must face and carefully study.Based on the analysis of inquiry issues at home and abroad,this article discusses the shortcomings and optimization strategies of inquiry issues in the current high school ideological and political teaching.The article is divided into four parts.The first section specifies the meaning of questions,inquiry questions,and inquiry questions in ideological and political courses in senior high schools and establishes the concept of inquiry questions in the teaching of such courses.On this basis,it analyzes the theory and problem characteristics on which inquiry questions are based,and expounds the importance of inquiry questions in stimulating students’ interest in learning,cultivating students’ thinking abilities,and improving teaching standards,The significance of promoting teachers’ professional development,optimizing teaching processes,and improving classroom teaching effectiveness.The second section describes the present situation of the implementation of inquiry questions in the teaching of ideological and political courses in senior high schools through empirical research and analyzes the shortcomings of the use of inquiry questions from the perspectives of content design and implementation process,including the lack of openness of questions,the limitation of students’ thinking,the lack of interest,the distance from students’ life,the low content of thinking,and the existence of invalid problems.The third section analyzes the reasons for the deficiencies in the application of inquiry questions from the external environment,teachers’ ability and students’ own three aspects,including the limited conditions of inquiry teaching facilities,the restriction of traditional teaching concepts,the imperfect teaching evaluation mechanism,the weak comprehensive ability of teachers,the lack of inquiry interest and enthusiasm of students,and the limited inquiry ability.In the fourth section,according to the requirements of the new curriculum standard that emphasizes the implementation of core literacy,and combining with specific teaching examples,the author puts forward the optimization strategy of exploratory questions.In the aspect of question content design,we should achieve the unity of inquiry and openness,interest and life,and science and relevance;In the process of question implementation,we should increase the interaction between teachers and students in the questioning process,strengthen the guidance of teachers in the inquiry process,and pay attention to the expansion of students’ thinking in the evaluation process.
