Since the 18 th national congress of the communist party of China(CPC),primary and secondary schools across the country have been deepening the reform of the new curriculum,focusing on the fundamental task of cultivating morality and cultivating students' core qualities.The new historical orientation of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era calls for the ideological and political courses to keep up with the pace of The Times,adhere to the fundamental task of cultivating morality and cultivating talents,take the cultivation of socialist core values as the fundamental purpose,and cultivate high-quality talents that meet the requirements of the new era and can shoulder the great responsibility of national rejuvenation.Inquiry learning is an important learning method to cultivate talents in the new era,but the application of this learning method in ideological and political teaching is less.In the teaching of ideological and political courses,how to apply inquiry learning to improve students' discipline quality has become the most important issue to be studied in this paper.According to the new curriculum idea,combining with the characteristics of students' physical and mental development and academic nature of thought political lesson,the paper put forward in the introduction part mainly presents problems,research significance,research status at home and abroad,and use the methods of literature research,observation and analysis,based on the teaching practice,from a new angle of view elaborated the research significance of inquiry learning.The first part is the overview of relevant theories of inquiry learning.This paper discusses the definition of the concept of inquiry learning,the theoretical basis and the significance of the application of inquiry learning in the teaching of ideological and political courses in senior high school.The second part mainly explores the application principles and specific implementation procedures of learning in senior high school ideological and political course teaching.The third part is the practical application of inquiry learning in the teaching of "people's congress: state power organs".The fourth part is the practical reflection of inquiry learning in the teaching of "people's congress: state power organs".This paper analyzes the causes of some problems in classroom teaching and puts forward some suggestions from the aspects of students,teachers and schools.On the basis of the theory study on the inquiry learning,combining with the inquiry learning in senior high school thought political lesson of present application status of some reflection,the paper try to find a viable inquiry learning implementation procedures,for the theory of inquiry learning in the thought political lesson teaching in the practical application to explore effective way,provide reference opinions for ideological and political teachers,provide theoretical support for the all-round development of students.
