| With the continuous development of society,people start to pay more and more attention to physical health,and physical exercise is one of the important ways to improve physical quality.The future reform of the integration of sports and education should include physical education subjects in the scope of academic level examinations in junior and senior high schools,so physical education is becoming more and more important for the future development of students.The setting of physical education curriculum standards largely influences students’ knowledge and practice of physical exercise,which affects their physical quality and healthy growth.In Canada,the government attaches great importance to education and has a well-developed education system,and physical education is also known as "high quality daily physical education".Therefore,this paper analyzes the high school physical education curriculum standards in Ontario,Canada,in order to learn from the strengths and weaknesses of the standards and to provide reference for the development of high school physical education in China.This paper takes the character and inspiration of 2015 edition of the Ontario high school health and physical education curriculum standards in Canada as the object of study,and uses the documentary method,textual analysis and case study method to conduct a study to interpret and analyze the Ontario high school health and physical education curriculum,so as to summarize the characteristics of the Ontario physical education curriculum standards.Then,suggestions are made for the development of our high school physical education curriculum with regard to its content characteristics.The following conclusions were drawn from the study: Ontario’s high school physical education curriculum adheres to the guiding ideology of health first and emphasizes the development of life skills as a way to develop students’ comprehensive core literacy.It is characterized by a variety of physical education forms,fair and effective evaluation methods,and an integrated school-family-community education mechanism,which aims to enable students to live healthy and active lives.Therefore,the following insights can be drawn from the development of high school sports in China:(1)China should implement the policy of "Healthy China" and pay attention to students’ physical health;(2)pay attention to the cultivation of students’ comprehensive core literacy,so that students can develop comprehensively;(3)accelerate the development of a multi-disciplinary physical education model,and cooperate with parents and youth activity centers to promote students’ development;(4)accelerate the development of a multi-disciplinary physical education model,and cooperate with parents and youth activity centers to promote students’ development.to promote students’ development;(5)play the linkage function of other resources;(6)diversify the evaluation methods and improve the operability of the evaluation system.The study related to Ontario’s high school health and physical education curriculum standards will help us to provide references for the continuous development of high school physical education in China from an international perspective. |
