The empirical study of intellectual psychology began in the 1970 s.In the past 40 years, intellectual psychology research has grown by leaps and bounds in terms of quantity, quality, operation and the complexity of research design. Most of the existing studies on the concept of intelligence focus on adults, while few studies focus on the concept of intelligence of primary and secondary school students. This study will explore the wisdom of primary and secondary school students from the perspectives of wisdom evaluation and free classification,so as to lay a solid foundation for the development of wisdom education. There are four studies:Study 1 discusses the wisdom view of primary school students based on the perspective of wisdom evaluation. It includes three parts: study 1a,study 1b and study 1c,which aims to explore the wisdom of primary school students.Study 1a collects and evaluates the wisdom characteristic words in the minds of primary school students by sending out open questionnaire and Likert score scale;study 1b collects and evaluates the wisdom events in the minds of primary school students by sending out open questionnaire and Likert score scale;study 1c collects and evaluates the wisdom figures in the minds of primary school students by sending out open questionnaire and Likert score scale. The results show that: from the perspective of wisdom, primary school students think that wisdom includes innate talent, acquired talent and virtue;from the perspective of the type of wisdom, primary school students are more inclined to regard human intelligence as wisdom than material wisdom.Study 2 discusses the wisdom of primary school students from the perspective of free classification. It includes three parts: study 2a,study 2b and study 2c,which aims to explore the wisdom of primary school students. The three sub-studies all use free classification tasks, among which, study 2a explores the wisdom of primary school students by classifying the characteristic words of wisdom;study 2b explores the wisdom of primary school students by classifying intelligent events;study 2c explores the wisdom of primary school students by classifying intelligent people. The results show that: from the perspective of wisdom, primary school students think that wisdom includes innate talent, acquired talent and virtue;from the perspective of the type of wisdom, primary school students are more inclined to regard human intelligence as wisdom than material wisdom.Study 3 discusses the wisdom view of junior high school students based on the perspective of wisdom evaluation. It includes three parts: study 3a,study 3b and study 3c,which aims to explore the wisdom of junior high school students.Study 3a collects and evaluates the wisdom characteristic words of junior high school students by sending out open questionnaire and Likert score scale;study 3b collects and evaluates the wisdom events of junior high school students by sending out open questionnaire and Likert score scale;study 3c collects and evaluates the wisdom of junior high school students by sending out open questionnaire and Likert score scale. The results show that: from the perspective of wisdom, junior high school students think that wisdom includes three components: talent, achievement and virtue;from the perspective of the type of wisdom, junior high school students are more likely to regard material wisdom as wisdom than human wisdom.Study 4 discusses the wisdom of junior high school students from the perspective of free classification. It includes three parts: study 4a,study 4b and study 4c,which aims to explore the wisdom of junior high school students. The three sub-studies all use free classification tasks,in which study 4a explores junior high school students’ view of intelligence by classifying wisdom feature words, and study 4b explores junior high school students’ view of intelligence by classifying intelligent events.study 4c explores the wisdom of junior high school students by classifying intelligent people. The results show that: from the perspective of wisdom, junior high school students think that wisdom includes three components: talent, achievement and virtue;from the perspective of the type of wisdom, junior high school students are more likely to regard material wisdom as wisdom than human wisdom. In summary, this study draws the following conclusions:(1)from the composition of wisdom, primary school students think that wisdom consists of talent and virtue, and tend to divide talent into innate talent and acquired talent, and are more inclined to regard virtue as the main feature of wisdom. In terms of the types of wisdom, wisdom events are divided into three types: spiritual wisdom events, scheming wisdom events and creative wisdom events, and intelligent characters are divided into three types: humanistic wisdom, natural wisdom and social wisdom.Compared with material wisdom,we are more inclined to regard human wisdom as wisdom.(2)in terms of the components of wisdom, junior high school students think that wisdom contains three components: talent, achievement and virtue, and are more inclined to regard talent as the main feature of wisdom;from the type of wisdom, wisdom events are divided into two types: human wisdom events and material wisdom events, and intelligent characters are divided into three types: humanistic wisdom, natural wisdom and social wisdom. The research on the concept of wisdom should not be limited to the old,middle-aged and young age groups, primary and secondary school students as an important period of internal development, their concept of wisdom is worthy of in-depth exploration. This study more comprehensively deepens the concept of wisdom of all ages, and provides countermeasures for how to better carry out wisdom education under the background of the popularization of traditional culture and education.
