The teaching of ancient poetry is an important part of Chinese teaching.In the 2022 Chinese Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education,it is clearly proposed that the learning of ancient poetry in junior high schools should develop students’ thinking ability and improve their thinking quality.The teaching activities of ancient poetry in the past focused on the accumulation of knowledge and language,but did not pay enough attention to the development of students’ thinking and emotion.The purpose of this paper is how to better apply thinking visualization tools in the teaching process of ancient poetry,so as to help students clarify their own thinking development process,acquire the ability of association and imagination,and realize the internalization and shaping of emotions.This paper consists of three parts:In the first part,by summarizing the characteristics of the selection and compilation of ancient poetry in junior high school and the teaching requirements of curriculum standards,it concludes that the teaching requirements of ancient poetry in junior high school teachers should be guided in such aspects as grasping the meaning of the text,understanding the poetry,emotional experience and thinking development.By analyzing the teaching requirements and key difficulties of ancient poetry in middle and junior high schools,and analyzing the advantages of thinking visualization tools which simply present text knowledge,reduce the burden of memory,improve the ability of reading and appreciating ancient poetry,and promote the development of thinking,the feasibility of thinking visualization tools in the teaching of ancient poetry in junior high schools is demonstrated.The second part investigates the application status of thinking visualization tools in junior high school ancient poetry teaching.The investigation mainly includes:classroom teaching situation,teachers’ teaching situation and students’learning situation of ancient poetry.Based on the analysis of the survey results,it is concluded that there are some problems in the application of thinking visualization tools in the middle school ancient poetry classroom,such as single application form,lack of students’ main body in the application process and lack of standard application,which are mainly affected by the solidification of teaching model,lack of professional theoretical guidance and some other factors.In the third part,aiming at the problems of thinking visualization tools in the teaching of ancient poetry,the author puts forward specific application strategies from three aspects:expanding the application situation,stimulating the participation of students and strengthening the theoretical learning.The extended application scenarios mainly include exploring the application forms of visualized thinking tools in the process of understanding and appreciation of ancient poetry:entering the country because of the "picture",being proud of seeing the "shape",and discussing poetry with "painting" to promote students’understanding and comprehension of ancient poetry;Stimulating students’participation mainly includes guiding students to think deeply,promoting students’ interaction and communication,and encouraging students to draw diagrams independently.Strengthening theory study mainly includes forming correct understanding,strengthening teachers’ study of theory knowledge and enriching teachers’ application practice.
