Chinese Pinyin teaching plays an important role in the first grade Chinese learning.It is not only related to students language foundation,but also directly affects students interest in Chinese learning.The Chinese Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2022 Edition)” requires students to be able to recognize and read Chinese characters with the help of Chinese Pinyin.The game teaching method can be used in Chinese Pinyin teaching.The game teaching method is inspiring,interesting and immersive,which is suitable for first-grade students physically and mentally.However,there are still some problems in classroom practice.This study conducted two questionnaire surveys on the teachers and students of two primary schools in Chongqing so that the researcher can understand the use of game teaching method in the Chinese Pinyin class.This study found several problems in the use of the game teaching method in Pinyin class.At the student level,there are large differences in the aspect of preschool foundation,understanding of the learning goals,and self-control in classroom activities.At the teacher level,some teachers lack effective guidance in the implementation of games in class.The selection of games is not in line with the students situation.The evaluation of students are seriously affected by results.At the school level,hardware facilities need to be improved and the appropriate training should be proved to teachers.According to the questionnaires and interview materials,the reasons for the above problems are as follows: students are affected by their physical and mental development rules,individual differences and their family background.At the teacher level,some teachers lack the access to improve relevant theoretical knowledge and they are influenced by previous teaching experience.Further more,they also suffer from tedious work,which lead to lack of time to practice game teaching method.At the school level,the teaching concept has not changed and the distribution of teachers work is unreasonable.Based on the findings,this paper puts forward corresponding suggestions.At the student level,teachers and parents should respect students’ development process and choose suitable games for them;give guidance to students in need;and cultivate the awareness of rules together.At the teacher level,teachers should improve the theoretical level,design learning activities closely related to the goal,pay attention to the innovation of games,and give timely evaluation.At the school level,support systems should be provided;teaching concepts should be updated;teachers should be allocated reasonably.Through the above suggestions,it is expected to help primary school teachers improve their use of game teaching method in Chinese Pinyin class.
