| Although the Philippines has a history of hundreds of years in Chinese teaching,Chinese learning situation of Filipino students is not optimistic because of the change of Chinese education history in recent years.One of the biggest problems is that students are not active in Chinese learning and lack of interest in it.In this thesis,the author investigates the application of game teaching method in the elementary classrooms,primarily combining the author’s two years of teaching practice in the Philippines.The game teaching method aims to improve students’ interest in Chinese learning,activate classroom atmosphere and reduce students’ fear in Chinese learning.In the late study,based on the questionnaires for Filipino students and Chinese volunteers,this paper analyzes some practical problems in the process of implementing the game teaching method and puts forward the effective solutions to them.This research cardinally studies the application of the game teaching method in elementary Chinese classes in the Philippines.The research procedure is as follows.First of all,the introduction of this thesis introduces the research background,research purpose and significance,ideas and methods of Chinese teaching in the Philippines,as well as the research overview,pedagogical basis,psychological basis,learner’s affective factors and other theoretical basis of the game teaching method.Moreover,it summarizes the concept,characteristics and basic principles of the game teaching method.Secondly,in order to better apply the game teaching method into Chinese classroom teaching in the Philippines and improve the efficiency of the game teaching method in classroom application,the characteristics of Filipino students and Chinese learning situation are summarized and analyzed in this study.Meanwhile,this study concludes the advantages and disadvantages of the game teaching method in the application of Chinese classroom in the Philippines in a further step.Thirdly,based on the analysis of students and Chinese volunteers’ questionnaires,this paper makes a summary of the problems in the practical operation of the game teaching method and the specific solutions and lists some cases of the game teaching method in the author’sclassroom practice.Finally,the paper makes a reflection on the game teaching method,summarizes its shortcomings and makes a prospection of the game teaching method the future development.This study mainly focuses on the analysis of classroom problems in the implementation of game teaching method.Which Combined with the questionnaire survey and the author’s practice of Chinese teaching experience,the corresponding solutions to specific problems are proposed,which has certain reference significance for Chinese teaching in the Philippines. |
