| As China’s basic education curriculum reform continues to advance, educators should also try to change the traditional teaching model and actively explore effective teaching methods that can promote students’ understanding.UbD(Understanding by Design),which advocates "teaching for understanding",adopts the " backward design" method that starts from the expected results and is driven by evaluation, which can improve students’ participation in class and teachers’ teaching quality to a certain extent. The middle school graphic design course occupies a relatively large amount of space in the "design-application" learning area, and is the basis for learning design knowledge, which plays a key role in enhancing students’ creativity and practical skills. In view of this, this paper applies UbD backward design to the middle school graphic design curriculum, further analyzes the feasibility and value significance of its application by summarizing the implementation process of backward design and its advantages compared with traditional teaching design, and at the same time, based on the UbD backward design template, optimizes the teaching design in three stages of clarifying expected results, determining assessment evidence, and planning teaching activities, and proposes a suitable teaching idea for middle school The implementation idea of graphic design teaching is proposed and applied to specific courses for teaching practice.Through practice,it is shown that UbD backward design is applicable to junior high school graphic design teaching, and it can effectively improve the efficiency and quality of classroom teaching.Understanding-first backward design not only promotes students’ achievement of learning objectives, but also improves students’ creative expression ability and practical application ability, which provides some reference value for the majority of art teachers in using backward design. |
