Under the circumstances of improved national educational policy and school management,cases of corporal punishment in schools are falling,but disciplinary misconducts sometimes occurs while teachers are regulation their students.Whether it is a data survey or a typical case released by the Ministry of Education,a voice was heard by the society-much attention need to be paid on teachers’ corporal punishment.The author take education management ethics as the theoretical basis,whose four values include educational purpose,humanity,democracy and fairness,to guide practical problems for teachers and help them find their own way out of the dilemma to a rational solution.This study analyzes the current situation of educational discipline of high school teachers in N middle school from the perspective of educational management ethics by using questionnaires and interviews.Based on the full study of educational management ethics and books and policies and regulations related to educational discipline,the questionnaire design and interview outline were conducted in five dimensions: perception of educational discipline,purpose of educational discipline,means of educational discipline,democracy of educational discipline,and fairness of educational discipline.A total of 400 students in 8 classes and all 125 teachers in the second year of high school in N High School were selected as the sample to implement the questionnaire survey,and one grade vice-principal,three sophomore class teachers and three class teachers were interviewed and surveyed to supplement the information data,through statistical analysis of data on the survey results.The problems in the implementation of educational discipline for high school teachers in N Middle School were analyzed,and the causes of the problems were analyzed in terms of educational purpose,humanity of disciplinary means,democracy of the disciplinary process,fairness of educational discipline,and educational management.The ethics of educational management is used as the basis for proposing strategies to eliminate the problems.The study found that the lack of educational disciplinary implementation rules,evaluation methods,and the influence of school system construction led to several problems in the implementation of educational discipline by some high school teachers in N secondary schools:deviation from the educational purpose of educational discipline,lack of policy attention and implementation,misconduct in educational disciplinary speech,and imperfect democratic procedures of educational discipline.The study concluded that a complete solution path should be built by reforming teacher and student evaluation methods,unifying disciplinary standards to implement fair disciplinary methods,improving school rules and classroom discipline and school management models,and school system construction levels.The study concludes that educators need to reflect on what causes schools and teachers to disregard this rule,how to protect students’ rights and interests in the implementation of educational disciplinary power,and whether schools and teachers focus on students’ development and growth.
