The open competition in the financial industry,the vigorous development of Internet finance,and the rapid popularization of mobile payment have greatly intensified the competition in the banking industry,and major commercial banks are facing unprecedented pressure on performance.As the traditional four major state-owned commercial banks,Sub-branch A has enjoyed the policy dividends of the past period of rapid economic growth and achieved great development.Facing the current competitive situation,it is urgent to build a more complete and refined management system in all aspects to enhance its own competitiveness.Based on the research on the theoretical knowledge of performance management,this thesis takes ABC Branch A as an example,starts with the analysis of the profile of customer managers,performance appraisal methods,etc.,and uses the form of questionnaires to find out the problems and reasons for the performance appraisal of the bank.It provides the basis for choosing the optimization scheme.Based on the analysis of the suitability between the mainstream performance management methods and the actual situation of Sub-branch A,it is appropriate to choose the performance management method based on the balanced scorecard.On this basis,a performance management optimization scheme based on the balanced scorecard is proposed,decompose the overall strategy of Sub-branch A into small goals,list the parts suitable for customer managers into performance indicators,calculate the weight coefficients of the indicators,and build an optimized performance model.The steady and rapid development of commercial banks depends to a large extent on the attractiveness of the banks themselves,that is,their incentive mechanism.The essence of the competition in the banking industry is the competition of talents,especially the group of customer managers who have a large number of customer resources.The performance management system is the foundation of the incentive mechanism.This thesis also lists the safeguard measures and expected effects of the implementation of the optimization plan,and makes an outlook on the future development trend.The new optimization scheme needs to be continuously tested in practical application.The performance management optimization scheme based on the balanced scorecard implemented by the A branch also has reference significance for the performance appraisal work of customer managers in other banks.
