Nowadays,with the rapid economic development of European and American countries,people’s demand for outdoor power tools is increasing day by day,and more and more competitors are grabbing carburetor market.They are constantly developing and launching new products to enhance their core competitiveness open up new markets and gain more market share.Majority of KE company customer come from European and American market,in the face of the increasingly competitive market environment,KE Company has shown very weak performance due to the higher requirements of customers on product quality and performance,and the urgent delivery time.Product problems overlooked in the trial production in the past fully exposed in the mass production,resulting in a large number of rework customer complaints and claims.Therefore,efficiently transforming newly designed products into massproduced products at the factory and bringing them to market quickly has become an urgent problem.Based on the above background,this study conducts an exploratory analysis on the problems of KE Company’s new product introduction process,in order to provide KE Company with an improvement plan,and can provide reference for the manufacturing industry.Firstly,the thesis expounds the research background,significance,ideas,methods,literature and theories related to new products introdction,APQP,FMEA.Secondly,introduce the actual status of KE Company.In addition,mterview project managers,productionengineering managers,quality department directors,and quality department manager involved in KE Company’s new product introduction.Analysis the interview data by coding techniques of qualitative research to find problems.There are problems such as the inability of the process review to meet the new product introduction requirements at the current stage,the imperfect measurement management the unreasonable management and control of functional characteristics,and the lack of talents in KE company new product introduction process.Thirdly,to propose the existing process review improvement in response to the problems that arise,including redefining the review items at each stage,reasonably setting review standards,clearly defining responsibilities,and involving R&D and customers in process review,as well as improving measurement process.So that responsible person implement each link,reasonably manage and control the functional characteristics in a classified way,to realize the processoriented evaluation define the objects that need to be identified,improve the scoring rules,and implement the talent pool plan and other improvement.The improvement of the existing process review process makes the main process structure of KE’s new product introduction more reasonable and the review content sufficient.The refinement and improvement of the measurement process makes the sub-process operational;the functional characteristics are managed,and to be controlled in a classified way for process-oriented evaluation.Define risk identification objects and improve scoring rules to make risk identification more efficient.The implementation of the talent pool plan is the guarantee for the implementation of the above countermeasures and continuous optimization in the future.
