Research On The Driving Force Of Economic Growth In Sichuan Minority Regions Based On The Perspective Of Total Factor Productivity

In the context of winning the battle against poverty and building a moderately prosperous society in all respects,it has become the focus of Chinese society to enhance the selfdevelopment capacity of poverty-stricken areas and consolidate and expand the achievements of poverty alleviation.Sichuan minority areas are the last group of areas in China to get rid of poverty.It is particularly important and significant to explore the driving force of economic growth and seek the reform of economic growth efficiency and the method of driving force reform.Based on combing the total factor productivity and economic growth,on the basis of related literature,analyses the history of economic development in ethnic regions in Sichuan,growth environment and the level of economic growth,found in Sichuan ethnic regions of the overall economic growth,but economic growth significantly lower than the ethnic regions,and lower than the average level of Sichuan province,economic growth engine co.,LTD.Then,DEA-Malmquist index method is used to analyze the changes and composition of total factor productivity in Sichuan ethnic minority areas.The research shows that the total factor productivity in Sichuan ethnic minority areas shows an overall trend of fluctuation,but the overall level is still low,mainly because the low technical efficiency inhibits the growth of total factor productivity.The growth rate of total factor productivity in Sichuan minority areas has a similar trend with the economic growth rate,and the change of total factor productivity growth rate is later than the economic growth rate.Furthermore,VAR model is used to compare and analyze the specific relationship between the growth rate of total factor productivity and economic growth rate in Sichuan ethnic minority areas.The analysis shows that the total factor productivity in Sichuan ethnic minority areas is more dependent on economic growth,while the contribution of total factor productivity to economic growth is not outstanding.Based on this,this article USES the method of grey correlation analysis of the Sichuan capital,labor elements in ethnic regions and the total factor productivity’s ability to drive economic growth,the study found that Sichuan minority areas is given priority to with capital driving economic growth,followed by labour,finally the total factor productivity,the region’s economic growth is the capital of driven,among them,Ethnic cultural capital has a strong driving ability to the economic growth in Sichuan ethnic areas,the driving ability of labor quantity is greater than that of labor quality,and the driving ability of technical efficiency is greater than that of technological progress.Based on the above research results,the main suggestions of this paper are as follows :(1)Optimize the industrial structure,integrate regional resources and improve technical efficiency;(2)Increase investment in scientific research,build scientific research platforms and speed up technological progress;(3)Focus on precise investment while stabilizing capital input to improve the utilization rate of funds;(4)Strengthen the propaganda and protection of ethnic culture,and give full play to the driving role of ethnic cultural capital in economic growth;(5)Attach importance to education and training to improve the quality of labor force;(6)Strengthen cooperation within ethnic minority areas and turn comparative advantages into competitive advantages.
