Knowledge Inertia,Knowledge Search And Enterprise Innovation Performance

In the era of knowledge economy,in order to achieve long-term development and maintain long-term competitive advantage,enterprises must take knowledge input as the key input of enterprise innovation activities and actively search for and utilize new external knowledge.However,in the process of relying on advanced knowledge for innovation,enterprises are often influenced by the inertia of knowledge.Knowledge inertia,as an extension of the concept of "inertia" in physics,is often used to describe the dependence of enterprise knowledge management on certain knowledge applications.In the face of the ever-changing market,knowledge inertia can help enterprises to keep a favorable state on the one hand.According to past experience and advantages,they can quickly grasp external opportunities,absorb a large amount of external high-quality knowledge and promote enterprise innovation.However,on the other hand,it will also have adverse effects such as locking innovation path and solidifying innovative thinking,which runs counter to the original intention of innovation.Existing research has also confirmed that knowledge inertia has an influence on enterprise innovation performance.This study attempts to explore the influence of knowledge inertia on enterprise innovation performance from a multi-dimensional perspective,and introduces knowledge search to explore its role in the relationship between knowledge inertia and enterprise innovation performance.Firstly,through theoretical analysis and literature research,this paper initially set up a research framework,based on which research hypotheses and theoretical models were built.Then,a number of enterprises in Jiangsu,Zhejiang and Anhui provinces were investigated and statistically analyzed by SPSS25.0,and the following conclusions were obtained:(1)The three dimensions of knowledge inertia have a significant impact on the innovation performance of enterprises.Among them,learning inertia and experience inertia have a positive impact on enterprise innovation performance,but procedural inertia will have a negative impact.(2)The existence of knowledge inertia will affect the development of enterprise knowledge search activities.Learning inertia and experience inertia are conducive to the depth and width of knowledge search,while program inertia is not conducive to the depth and width of knowledge search.(3)The depth and width of knowledge search positively affect the innovation performance of enterprises.This paper also verifies the intermediary effect of knowledge search.The data show that knowledge search plays an intermediary role in the mechanism of knowledge inertia on enterprise innovation performance,enriching the theory of enterprise knowledge management.According to the above conclusions,this paper puts forward the following suggestions for enterprise management practice: First,we should break the inherent idea that inertia is not conducive to enterprise innovation,correctly understand the influence of different dimensions of knowledge inertia on enterprise innovation activities,effectively manage knowledge inertia,give full play to its advantages and overcome negative effects.It is necessary to strengthen learning inertia and experience inertia,invest in learning for a long time,keep learning state,organize regular training,fully tap valuable knowledge and experience and make integrated use of it.Second,build an open organization and improve the ability of enterprise knowledge search.Actively establish cooperative partnership with various parties to achieve close cooperation across borders and fields.Establish a perfect knowledge acquisition mechanism,formulate an open innovation strategy,and keep an open mind.Constantly broaden knowledge acquisition channels,carry out knowledge exchange activities,fully tap the value of new knowledge,integrate old and new knowledge,and improve the R&D capability of enterprises.
