For manufacturing enterprises,inventory problem is a key indicator to measure the success of enterprise management,and also a decisive factor to determine whether the enterprise can develop continuously and healthily.In the supply chain management mode,the control effect of inventory management not only affects the comprehensive cost of a single enterprise,but also determines the operation efficiency and competitiveness of the whole supply chain.Therefore,the research on inventory control in supply chain environment has important theoretical and practical significance.Company a is a first-class multinational enterprise with advanced technology and excellent reputation in the electronic manufacturing service industry.The development strategy of the company is "starting from the operation and management of the enterprise and achieving economic benefits through lean production".Inventory takes up a lot of funds,which is the core link of enterprise material management.It not only relates to the operation cost and risk of the enterprise,but also affects the service level of customers.Therefore,inventory management is the focus of daily operation and management of company A.This thesis introduces the related concepts of supply chain inventory management,explains the definition and function of inventory,compares and analyzes the traditional form of inventory management and supply chain form of inventory management,and finds out the problems existing in company A according to its own inventory management,such as large stagnant inventory,poor practical application of safety inventory,large inventory management cost and so on,This paper makes a comprehensive analysis on the problems and causes in this regard.Then,it puts forward the methods to improve the management for a series of problems:optimizing the company’s EOQ model,improve the control method of dead stock,increase the scientificity and accuracy of forecast,and improve the calculation of safety stock.Improve inventory management by controlling the material turnover cycle and improving demand forecasting;The process of demand forecasting is also improved;Monitor demand management strategy from the perspective of sales,design,production and procurement.The purpose of this paper is to find a more effective solution for A company’s inventory management mode through the in-depth understanding of the inventory management theory under the supply chain environment and the reflection on the shortcomings of the actual management.Hope A company can carry out more effective inventory management under the guidance of the new scheme.At the same time,it is hoped that this study can provide enlightenment and reference for other enterprises in the same industry.
