Research On The Efficiency And Influencing Factors Of Agricultural Products In Northwest China

The development goal of agricultural product logistics is to increase the added value of agricultural products,save circulation costs,reduce circulation losses,and improve the circulation efficiency of agricultural products.Shaanxi,Gansu,Qinghai,Ningxia and Xinjiang are five provinces and regions with agricultural characteristics,and the seasonality of production and the annual nature of consumption have led to a large number of agricultural products exported during the agricultural production season,and a large number of agricultural products need to be imported during the agricultural leisure season,which depends on the development of agricultural product logistics.In 2020,the per capita income of rural residents in the northwest region is lower than the average income level of rural residents in the western region,which is partly due to the low efficiency of the loss rate of agricultural products in the transportation process,and the role of agricultural product logistics in the preservation and appreciation of agricultural products has not yet been fully exerted,which restricts the improvement of farmers’ income in the northwest region.Based on this,this study selects five agricultural characteristic production areas of Shaanxi,Gansu,Qinghai,Ningxia and Xinjiang,and analyzes the input-output indicators of agricultural product logistics efficiency,excludes the marginalization factors with low contribution rate,and retains the main factors with high contribution rate.Based on factor analysis,the DEA data envelopment model was used to analyze the logistics efficiency of agricultural products in Northwest China.The results of the study are: from the static analysis of DEA,the logistics efficiency of agricultural products in northwest China was relatively high before 2012,most provinces were in the effective state of DEA,the logistics efficiency began to decline from 2013 to 2017,it was in the non-effective state of DEA,and the logistics efficiency began to pick up in 2018,and all reached the effective level of DEA by 2020;In the years in the northwestern provinces where the scale efficiency value of agricultural product logistics is less than 1,only in a few years,the scale remuneration is increased,and the rest of the years are decreasing the scale remuneration.From the dynamic analysis of DEA,the growth rate of all factors is from high to low: Xinjiang,Shaanxi,Ningxia,Qinghai,Gansu,and Gansu is the only province with negative growth in total factor index.Finally,according to the quantitative calculation results,the improvement measures for optimizing the macro policy environment of agricultural product logistics,cultivating logistics professional talents,rationally planning the input and output of agricultural product logistics industry,and increasing technological innovation in agricultural product logistics industry are proposed.
