| There is a widely accepted definition of sustainable development.Not damaging the ability of future generations to meet their needs is the premise and core meaning of this development.Nowadays,the research about sustainable development is mainly focused on high-energy-consuming and heavy-polluting industries such as the iron and steel industry,there is relatively little research on the dairy industry.However,numerous data shows that the methane,nitrogen oxides and carbon dioxide produced by the dairy industry in feed planting,livestock farming and production processes is one of the main contributors to global warming.This paper selects Yili,a leading enterprise in the dairy industry with the largest scale and the most complete product categories in China,as the research object.Combining the entropy method and the mutation progression method to construct an index evaluation system,evaluating and analyzing the sustainable development performance of Yili from the perspective of ESG.The results of the study show that Yili’s sustainable development performance score shows a fluctuating trend between 2016 and 2021.This paper also compares the sustainable development performance of Yili from 2018 to 2021 with Mengniu Dairy,and puts forward the following suggestions for the future sustainable development of Yili:First,Yili should attach importance to improve the quality of the sustainable development report;Secondly,Yili should strive to improve the efficiency of energy conservation and emission reduction;Finally,Yili should pay attention to its management and financial situation,it is very urgent to improve the operating efficiency. |
