| The Report of the 20 th Party Congress points out that building a modern industrial system,insisting on putting the focus of economic development on the real economy and accelerating the construction of Network Power and Digital China.During the "14th Five-Year Plan" period,China’s digital economy shifts to a new stage of deepening application,standardizing development and sharing for the benefit of all.The scale of China’s digital economy in 2021 is 45.5 trillion yuan,accounting for 39.8% of GDP,with a growth rate of 16.2%;among which,the scale of industrial digitization is 37.2 trillion yuan,accounting for 81.8% of the digital economy and 32.5% of the GDP;the digital transformation of the three industries has been deeply promoted,and the development of industrial digitalization has entered an accelerated track.At the same time,China’s economy has entered the stage of high-quality development,and is now in the critical period of transforming growth momentum,optimizing economic structure and changing development mode,but the situation of unbalanced regional economic development is not optimistic.Therefore,this paper measures the development level of China’s industrial digitalization using relevant data of 30 provinces in China from 2013-2021,explores the characteristics of the development differences,and researches the influencing factors and spatial spillover effects of the development of industrial digitalization.The study finds that:Firstly,constructing the index system of the development of China’s industrial digitalization,and using the entropy TOPSIS method to measure the industrial digital development index.The results show that there is more room to improve the development level of China’s industrial digitalization,and the trend of digitalization and intelligence of industrial development is positive.At the regional level,the development level of industrial digitization in the eastern region is higher than the national average,and the value is significantly higher than that in the central and western regions,and the average value of industrial digitization index in all three regions shows an obvious rising trend;the development level of industrial digitization in three industries in each region is improving,and there is an obvious regional imbalance at the same time.At the provincial level,the digital development level of each industry varies greatly among different provinces in different regions,and there are also obvious differences in the digital development of each industry among different provinces within each region,and the overall development of industrial digitalization presents a "ladder" spatial distribution pattern of gradually decreasing from east to west.The development of agricultural digitalization presents the spatial distribution pattern of "high in the middle and east but low in the west",industrial digital development presents the phenomenon of "pulling the whole country by a few",and the development of service digitalization presents the spatial distribution pattern of "high in the east but low in the middle and west".Secondly,using Gini coefficient,kernel density estimation and Markov chain method to analyze the spatial and temporal pattern characteristics of the development of industrial digitization.The results show that there are obvious regional differences in the development of China’s industrial digitization,the probability of maintaining the original development level in each region is the largest,and there is a positive spillover effect of the state of the development of industrial digitization in neighboring regions on the development level of provinces.There are significant regional differences in the development of China’s industrial digitization,and there is no obvious trend of narrowing;the largest intra-regional variation is in the east,with an obvious tendency to expand,and the largest inter-regional difference is found between the East-West regions,and the development of industrial digitization in the central and western regions needs to be improved.The main source of regional differences in the development of industrial digitization is the East-West difference in the inter-regional differences,followed by the East-Central difference,and the greatest impact of intra-regional variation is in the east.Both the national and regional development levels of industrial digitization are improving,the absolute difference is narrowing,the distribution curve has a right trailing phenomenon,and the extension is widening;however,there is a polarization phenomenon at the national level and in the eastern region.The national and regional development of industrial digitization is relatively stable,with the highest probability of maintaining the original state and internal convergence among provinces with high level of development,and no cross-level jump transfer phenomenon occurs.The ability of the development of industrial digitization in the eastern region is stronger than that in the central and western regions;the digital development status of neighboring regions affects the change of provincial development level,and the higher the development level of neighboring regions,the more it can bring positive spillover effect;the better the development trend of industrial digitalization in each region,the higher the probability of upward transfer of development level.Thirdly,using Moran index,spatial Durbin model and partial differential method to research the spatial spillover effects of each influencing factor of the development of industrial digitization.The results show that there is a significant positive spatial correlation of the development of China’s industrial digitization,and it presents obvious spatial clustering characteristics,and the development of industrial digitization itself has positive spatial spillover effects.At the national level,each influencing factor has a significant role in promoting the development of industrial digitalization in the region.The degree of government intervention,openness to the outside world and the level of human capital have an inhibiting effect on the improvement of the development level of industrial digitalization in other regions,and the rest of factors can drive the development of industrial digitalization in other regions.The level of ICT industry development,digital governance environment,technology development level,degree of government intervention,openness to the outside world,and human capital level have a greater impact on the development of industrial digitalization in this region,and digital infrastructure and urbanization level have a greater impact on the development of industrial digitalization in other regions.In terms of total effect,the improvement of digital infrastructure,ICT industry development level,technology development level,human capital level,urbanization level,and the expansion of openness to the outside world can strongly drive the development of industrial digitalization;and the optimization of the digital governance environment and the increase of government intervention have not shown an obvious driving effect on the development of industrial digitalization at this stage.At the regional level,different factors have different effects on the development of industrial digitalization in different regions,and the factors that have the greatest effect on the development of industrial digitalization in the eastern,central and western regions are the degree of openness to the outside world,the level of human capital and the level of technological development respectively.Based on the findings of the study,suggestions are proposed in the following aspects:vigorously developing digital technology,accelerating the cultivation of new dynamics of industrial digitalization;adapting interconnection and interoperability to local conditions,promoting the coordinated regional development of industrial digitalization;and forging long boards to make up for short boards,comprehensively improving the development level of industrial digitalization. |
