Research On The Influence Of Internet Industry Agglomeration On Regional Innovation Capability

With the overall popularity of the Internet,the Internet industry in China has gradually formed a gathering development trend,which has far-reaching influence on the national social economy.At present,the Internet industry with high technology,high knowledge and high added value has become an important driving force for regional innovation and development.Generally speaking,Internet industrial agglomeration tends to occur in urban centers with higher economic development level.The Yangtze River Delta is one of the most developed and innovative urban agglomerations in the eastern economic region of China,and it is also a region with higher Internet industrial agglomeration.However,due to different basic conditions such as industrial development and resource allocation,The impact of Internet industrial agglomeration on innovation may vary from region to region.Strengthening the agglomeration of Internet industry within the region is an important link to enhance regional innovation ability and promote high-quality development of the region.Through literature review,it is found that there are few empirical studies on Internet industrial agglomeration at present.Based on the literature review at home and abroad,this paper defines the concepts of industrial agglomeration,Internet industrial agglomeration and regional innovation,describes the development status of Internet industry in China from the macro and micro levels,and analyzes the influence of Internet industrial agglomeration on regional innovation ability.Based on this,this paper takes the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration as the research object to explore the relationship between Internet industry agglomeration and regional innovation ability.This paper selects panel data of 26 prefecture-level cities in the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration from 2005 to 2019.Firstly,location entropy is used to accurately measure the industrial agglomeration level of the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration.Secondly,the benchmark panel model is used to explore the influence of Internet industry agglomeration on regional innovation capability in the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration.Then,the spatial Du bin model is used to systematically estimate the spatial effect of Internet industry agglomeration on regional innovation capability in the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration.Finally,according to the conclusion of the relationship between the Internet industry agglomeration in the Yangtze River Delta city cluster and the regional innovation ability,the corresponding suggestions and countermeasures are put forward.The empirical analysis based on panel data draws the following conclusions.First,the measure of locational entropy shows that the Internet industry in the Yangtze River Delta has relatively high agglomeration and low dispersion.Second,through the benchmark panel regression analysis,it is found that the Internet industry agglomeration in the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration has a significant positive impact on regional innovation ability.Thirdly,through spatial econometric regression,it is found that the Internet industrial agglomeration in the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration has a significant positive spatial spillover effect on regional innovation capability.In theory,this study enriches the research on Internet industry agglomeration and regional innovation ability through literature review.In practice,based on the panel data of the Yangtze River Delta,the relationship between Internet industry agglomeration and regional innovation capability is verified.Finally,based on the problems and conclusions studied in this paper,corresponding suggestions and countermeasures are put forward from three aspects: the development of Internet industry,regional differences existing in regional innovation and development,and regional innovation and development policies.
