Research On The Driving Factors Of Regional Coordinated Development From The Digital Economy Perspective

In recent years,in the context of the global economic downturn caused by the impact of the epidemic,the scale of China’s digital economy is still growing rapidly,and its proportion to GDP is also rapidly increasing.The digital economy has become an important power to promote China’s economic growth,played a vital role in the entire national economic system,and will be the focus of economic development during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period.Regional coordinated development is a strategic issue with Chinese characteristics.Promoting coordinated regional development will not only help China achieve the second centenary goal,but also one of the important strategic ways to achieve common prosperity in the new era.Therefore,it is of great theoretical and practical significance to clarify whether there is a linkage development relationship between China’s digital economy and the realization of regional coordinated development,and whether the digital economy can help promote the realization of regional coordinated development.Firstly,based on the theoretical level,this paper analyzes the promotion mechanism and path of the digital economy to the development of China’s economy,society and ecology.Secondly,the index system of provincial digital economy and regional coordinated development level is constructed respectively.The evaluation score of digital economy development is calculated by entropy weight method.The evaluation score of economic,social and ecological system in each province and city is calculated by the entropy weight method,and then the evaluation score of regional coordinated development in each province and city is calculated by the coordinated development degree model.The space-time characteristics of China’s digital economy and regional coordinated development are analyzed.Thirdly,the coordinated development of China’s digital economy and regional coordinated development is studied by using the coupling coordination model and spatial autocorrelation analysis.Then,using the factor detector of the geographic detector model,the driving factors of regional coordinated development are studied.Finally,with the goal of promoting regional coordinated development,this paper puts forward policy recommendations for the development of digital economy.The research results show that:(1)The digital economy has promoted the development of China’s three major systems of economy,society and ecology.It has promoted the formation of high-tech industries,the upgrading and integration of industrial structures,and the upgrading of consumption structure.At the social side,it alleviates the contradiction between supply and demand of public service resources,promotes high-quality employment development,and drives government governance reform.At the ecological side,it plays a positive role in pollution prevention,energy conservation and emission reduction.(2)China’s digital economy development level and regional coordinated development level are steadily improving.The eastern region has obvious advantages in the development of digital economy and regional coordinated development,while the central region and the western region show late-development advantages,and the development speed is ahead of the eastern region.(3)The degree of coupling and coordination between China’s digital economy and regional coordinated development is increasing.The eastern region has generally reached a medium-to-high degree of coordination,and the central and western regions are in the moderate coordination stage.The coupling coordination degree of the two systems has a significant spatial positive correlation.Jiangsu,Shanghai,Zhejiang,Fujian and five provinces and cities of Anhui affected by the spatial spillover effect form high-high agglomeration areas.Xinjiang,Gansu,Inner Mongolia and Heilongjiang form low-low agglomeration areas.(4)The digital economy has a significant strengthening driving effect on the realization of China’s coordinated regional development.There are regional heterogeneities in terms of driving factors and driving force performance.The central region has the largest and most comprehensive driving effect.From a national perspective,the core force that promotes the coordinated development of regions in China is digital economic innovation,and the positive role of digital economic foundation,industrial digitalization,and digital industrialization is also growing.This paper aims to promote the further realization of regional coordinated development in China,and puts forward corresponding policy recommendations to promote the sustainable,healthy and orderly development of China’s digital economy from the aspects of strengthening infrastructure construction,promoting industrial integration,strengthening technological innovation,strengthening talent training,improving policies and regulations,and reforming governance methods.
